I actually like the new Cellini designs. What i don't like is most of the materials. I'm not a fan of pink, and that dominates the line. The blue dial is by far the most attractive, If they offered that in more models in platinum then I might actually pick one up.

I think Rolex's "Everrose" was because most rose gold would turn to yellow gold over time. They replaced the alloy composition that made their rose gold, so it wouldn't fade to yellow.

I saw a black dial/white gold Cellini Dual Time in person once and consider it to be as fine and elegant as anything else on the market. I’d rather have that Cellini than any of Rolex’s steel watches.

Information well this dude. Very good videos and informative. I loved my Rolex Explorer II, paid £1,900. Traded it for another Rolex and eventually sold it at a profit. Just after I sold it they stopped producing them I think. And about 6 months later I see one for £5,000+ ...... depressing!!

It's funny because the Cellini Danaos is the only Rolex watch I'd buy!!! Black dial with white and rose tone case and Roman numerals. There's something about it.

Great video as always. Roman, please talk about buying and selling with auction houses. When does it make sense to sell with one and is it possible to get good deals considering all the premiums? I was following the latest Christie’s watches online auction and prices seemed okay until I hit the checkout and was met with 25% premiums and other associated fees. Does a higher auction result set a trend in price for some models?

You are absolutely right. The dial is a mess. It is too fussy for a dress watch. The ADs are full of these. Once you see one in the flesh you will steer well clear.

great history on Cellini. I bought one from a private seller that is from the late 1990's. 18K with ostrich band and a beautiful dress watch. Goes nicely with a suit. Funny thing is that it is quartz and from what I understand, one of the few models that rolex made that was quartz. I got it for 65% off so it was a good deal.

Loving the latest Cellini range from Rolex - it’s still got Rolex on the dial right? so you know it’s going to be a quality piece. Very much the connoisseurs piece, you always see them in ADs windows mainly because of their heavy precious metal price tag. Try one on, they wear beautifully and look gorgeous. The developments in China seem to be bringing steel Datejusts into ADs windows in the UK plus models like the 40mm YachtMaster. These models were almost unheard of behind glass now they are springing up in numbers unsold. Maybe folks on the lists are getting the jitters and passing. Interesting times, bring on the panda Daytona’s (yeah right).

And your right, only Rolex (outside of pre owned) I see for sale are Cellini, honest didn't think they look as bad as what the Rolex fans say about them. Not really interested in Rolex (leaving money aside) except for the Explorer II white face. Doesn't have to be current generation but don't want vintage either.

Another great video! I myself got caught up in all the GMT and Sub hype and was never happy... I never liked those models but just got all wrapped up... one day I decided to sell them all and opted for a new Yacht-master II. I couldn’t be happier and feel much better not competing with every Tom, Dick and Harry. Nice to know I won’t run into many YMs. vs the other models out in public. Now on your three watches for under 10K... all good choices but I would have opted for JLC Reverso in stainless for the dressy one.

Great Q&A, I think that 2020 will be the year that the hype watches end their price rise, and we will see more discounts in the watch business. I see also unfortunately many of the small watchmakers and micro brands closing their doors in 2020 and beyond due to the looming recession.

Hey Roman I love the channel but you guys gotta brush up on your subtraction skills. Lol 8700-4000 is not 5700. But it doesn't really matter since you ended up with $1,200 anyway , so it's still a great 3 watch collection under 10,000. I would have chosen a Seiko Monnster for every day beater $600. Then a Rolex Explorer 1 MKII for outings $7000. And a Nomos Orion 38 hand wind for formal wear at $2000. I like have the watches made i 3 different countries and all in house. (I think, not 100% sure about the Seiko)Leaving me with $400 to take the wife out on the town!!

My favourite Omega right now is the Speedmaster Blue Side of the Moon with the aventurine dial. Rarely anyone talks about it or knows about it. It's hidden in their official website and they aren't making that much. You can grab those for $9,000 new in the gray market, which I think is a bargain considering a full blue ceramic case, relatively good movement and a dial to die for.
