I've always rooted for this lovely lady to win Bb Pilipinas-Universe before. She answered with confidence, intelligence and it was direct to the point. Q&A may have a small portion on the pageant, but only well prepared people who has mastered expressing themselves without any comprehension problems no matter how random the question was, can pull it off. And obviously Kylie did a remarkable job. Anyways, congrats Queen K for another MI crown!

Until now l can't get over it. As we can see in the Q&A portion, Kylie deserved the Miss Universe title because of how she answered the question compared to Maxene she can't fully expressed her thoughts at the same time she can't speak fluently. +TRUST GOD! Well, we will see on January 29 (January 30 in Manila) inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena if BPCI made the right gamble with Maxine Medina as BBP-Universe for MU 2016. It's not going to be easy for Maxine trying to keep the MU crown in the Philippines' hands and also for BPCI to win two Big Four crowns under their name in one year for the first time. 1973 was the closest for Binibining Pilipinas to win two Big Four crowns under their name in one year when Margie Moran won Miss Universe and Maria Ojeda was fourth runner-up in Miss International. Bear in mind that although Evangeline Pascual was first runner-up in Miss World in the same year, BB Pilipinas didn't have the Miss World membership until 1992.

In the Binibining history, she is one of my strongest favorites ever. So in love with her since the beginning, she has an unparalleled sweet face. However, I was happy that she got the International crown. God has arranged everything just right in place, no regret. There is no assurance that she will bring a Universe crown should she won Miss Universe. Hence she won the International crown and she did herself justice when she won Miss International. There are many girls that hv done the country proud by winning tittles that are aimed by many girls all around the world, but are often overlooked by pageantfans just because these ladies did not win the MU crown. Every pageant competition has a set of winning criteria of its own, hence winning one is very hard. There is no one-size-fit-all formula. These ladies work so hard to win a crown, not just Miss Universe. Btw, I dont think Kylie is underappreciated. She is just very celebrated and got the popularity she deserves. It just annoys me until today that ppl keep complaining that she didnt get the Miss Universe crown over Maxine. Kylie or Maxine, they are at their right place.

Come on peeps, just let these results go. Bear in mind, Miss Universe is not the be all and end all of the beauty pageant world. The Big Four international pageant world consists of Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International and Miss Earth. If some of you very picky pageant fans want to say that Miss Universe is the only pageant that matters, then the Philippines wouldn't completed their own Big Four set and the quickest one at that. The PH has won six Big Four crowns in the last four years and arguably could've won a couple more had Janine Tugonon and Catriona Gray weren't screwed. Let's be happy that Kylie kept the Philippines' Big Four winning streak alive and let the ABS-CBN era BB Pilipinas gamble on Maxine.

Kylie was the safety net for Philippine pageantry as a whole in 2016. They are not judged based on the level of difficulty of the questions given to them. They are judged based on how they answer questions and how they handle pressure. Kylie clearly aced the Q&A and Maxine, as a matter of fact, did not deliver. So, I would presume the judges disregarded the Q&A and made their decision based on other factors like matching the "type" of look they have and their chances of winning the pageants they will be sent to. In the interest of transparency, the judges need to explain what happened, just like what the judges did in the Miss Universe pageant. Otherwise, Kylie and the Philippines would appear to have been robbed of the opportunity to be properly represented in the upcoming Miss Universe Pageant.

Hana Kim i get your point, but all the candidates were trained on how to be a beauty queen that's why that question which kylie answered is very well practiced already. and besides, it's not like maxine gave a wrong answer, she was just not able to elaborate it well. And i know for a fact that the judges had seen something from her that they wasn't able to see from kylie. Overall, both won a crown and let's just hope for the best. :)
