I am not sure who I am quoting and I may not get it exactly but here goes, "for those that get it, no explanation is necessary, for those who don't or won't get it, no explanation will suffice." Go and have a blast and thank you for offering to take us along with you!!

It’s fun to work my way back through previous videos to see how you all have changed and one big noticeable thing is that I don’t see you two trying to explain your lives anymore !!!! It’s now the beginning of 2020 and I still see comments where people think you’re making your kids travel and depriving them of friends, school, events and whatever .......I’m so glad you both don’t seem to need to justify anymore, because you shouldn’t !!! I can’t even comprehend the education, experiences and family bond theses kids will have for the rest of their lives ....simply amazing !!!!

Hi, I traveled the world from age 10-15 on a sailboat. If you had asked me if I wanted to go and travel, I would have said no. But when we were finished sailing around the world I did not want to stop traveling. World schooling is the best way to learn.

One thing I have come to realize and you say it in your video, it is amazing how many people are out there doing the same thing and seeing the world. Traveling and seeing the world has made me the person I am today. Some of my favourite places are: Cario, Cappadocia, New Zealand(by RV), Prague and of course NS, Canada(my home). But having been to 80+ counties some on the boat and many since as an adult, I have loved every place I have visited for many different reasons. Thanks for responding. I am dreaming of doing a North America RV adventure. Your family is an inspiration

Erica Desjardins no it totally not! public school is the best way to learn. You get to be with a bunch of different races and religions. And in public school you interact and are more social. You don't just rely on social media to make friends or DM some one and be friends. Knorp and South always say interact with people and life life to the fullest. That doesn't mean only get friends from social media. But to also interact with real people face to face not on a screen. Or a picture. But to play sport interact in your community and make friends. And kids who are world schoolers are probably going to be behind if they ever do go to public school. There is a lot of stuff that parents can't teach there kid and a lot of stuff teachers can.

Arthur Mansavage your joking, right??? You don't get to see a bunch of diversity in a public school. You get to see a lot of diversity traveling the world and seeing where people come from. You get to see all walks of life. Your not stuck with the same bunch of people of grade 1-12.

This video was exactly what I needed to see. After watching it, I sat my kids down and asked them some serious questions about how they would feel about world schooling and traveling. I had threw the idea around for awhile about us getting an RV and just going. Well tomorrow starts our countdown of our two year plan to make it happen! I'm so excited that they are excited about it. Thank you for the push 😁.

After listening to this video I've taken a total 180 turn-around. My initial concern was directed at the adopted children who in comparison probably have had their share of instability in their short lives. I was concerned that perhaps subconsciously they may feel a bit anxious (even though they're not expressing it) but you know what?.............if ever two parents can pull this off whilst embracing them all in a blanket of security, you two can. Megan, your outlook is not only healthy and refreshing..... it's radical. And one has to be radical in order to stop the insanity and propagating the problems (academia, mainstream, news, detachment, apathy, bigotry, racism, etc). So I can only applaud your style and admire your selflessness. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness(es) Peace and godspeed.

I am not a religious person. I watch your videos sometimes because they are fun! Something about they way you explained why you are doing this really struck a cord - the part about how seeing and learning about the world and history as a barrier against intolerance and isolation. As a non-religious person I feel that this sentiment does more to build bridges between people than I have heard for a long time. We need more religious people like you - you are on the forefront of building understanding and respect! Good luck, and have a lot of fun!

When I was fourteen I qualified to live in Europe and study through a city sister program at my governor's school. I was hesitant to go. My grandmother insisted I do despite the costs she incurred. When she dropped me off at the airport she prayed with me said the only way she could ever be disappointed in me is I came home from this trip an unchanged person. That trip changed my life. I learned empathy. I embraced being weird. I felt closer to god when I began to see more and more of his creation. Dozens of countries having been visited later and my wanderlust hasn't subsided. For what it's worth, I think your giving your children the greatest gift you can give them, perspective.

Liv BFFs and laugh I understand how you feel. I love travelling but the thought of letting your "normal" life behind you scares me at the same time. But there are many alternatives for example a work&travel-year after school or a vacation to a different country. When I was 15, I travelled to Sweden by train with two friends for a few weeks and we are going to do it again this year.

I love following you guys so much! You have become the regular thing I watch each day. And you impressed me even more by explaining your reasons for wanting the kids to experience people and cultures from everywhere. I am totally with you about being able to say: Hang on, I've been there and what they are saying is nuts. As a 21 year old I left Sweden to backpack alone through India and Nepal and Thailand. It was amazing in so many ways and made me realise so many things about myself. Staying in one place for longer makes for a more in depth experience for one thing. I loved finding actual homes away from my home. And that first naive insight getting off the plane in the middle of the night in Delhi and just realising that it was a real place ( I know this sounds a little nuts). But just being there, being in the place that I had seen in movies or on pictures. Realising it was a real place with real people in it makes me sound stupid, but it was more than that to me. It just dawned on me through concrete experience that people everywhere are the same as back home. And even though I always thought or believed that, there is a big difference between thinking and KNOWING. I support you 100 %! Will follow every step of your way. God bless. (I became a believer in India too btw. Go figure 😉) Remember to see the northern lights in winter!! Sweden Abisko or Norway Narvik, or why not Iceland! It's all beautiful! Take care and much love and support! /Olivia

I think the opportunity to live life so fully and globally that you are giving your children is fantastic! I feel home schooling creates a different perspective that traditional schoolers may not understand when it comes to ways to learn. You are helping your children to become life long learners since there are no boundaries. As they grow, they also learn to think independently. What a joyful way to parent! I wish you the best wherever you go.

Mike & Megan, you two are truly inspirational and I really appreciate your transparency in the last video. You showed me that stepping outside of your comfort zone is not always easy and it can be very scary but you have decided to not let that stop you from doing what it is you want to do, sometimes you have to just "Do It Afraid" like Joyce Meyers says. I was so touched (and inspired, and helped in my life with what I am going through) by your vulnerability and you letting us in like that (today and in the last video - and others!). You already know this, but just ignore the people who disagree or live a life too different for them to be open minded enough to enjoy what you are doing. It's much easier the more examples you see of others doing similar things. I highly recommend Ukraine as a great option for one of your 3 month stint outside the EU. It is extremely cheap right now and it is safe. The culture is unique and there are so many great people. You may enjoy Lviv, for example. Seriously, at least check out the prices. They're constantly meeting new people from all walks of life, learning how they live. Sure, the kids miss a few "traditional" experiences, but most of those things don't really impact you as an adult anyway. Imagine the impact that this journey will have on them, and the amazing lessons they will learn.

My parents took us on a four month trip in an RV, from TN to Costa Rica and back. It was AMAZING! None of us wanted to come home. We immediately started planning another trip and a year later we returned to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize but only for two months. That was all we could do. Those 6 months were the best time of my life. I was 9 and 10 years old. My siblings were 13-15. I wasn't able to give this travel gift to my kids and regret it. Traveling is wonderful. I later backpacked through Europe for three months after I graduated from college. Again, AMAZING! Then real life took over, job, kids, the standard routines most are locked into. That is why it is SOOO wonderful to be able to watch you and your family break that same old/same old mold and be adventurous! You are correct. Your kids WILL be better people after seeing the world. I am so envious of you and your family. I wish I could do the same thing. Since I can't, I will live vicariously through you. Thanks for taking me along on this fabulous adventure! Wishing you all the best, Yvonne

I am so excited for the adventures ahead of you! Having lived a married life with seven kids that is not always in the norm I understand what you hear from others. We've homeschooled, lived in an RV, done homebirth , left the country for dental work etc. and people have questioned our sanity. It is not normal for kids to spend their days with others their age- when will they ever do that again and what great and wonderful things will they learn from them? Getting out with others of all ages and experience is the most fantastic way to learn! Visiting small LDS branches will be an eye opener compared to what you're used to- the one in Belize was and we really enjoyed the members there. I've been watching your videos and trying to figure out how to do this now that it's just one daughter and me (mom)!! Lost my husband and it's much easier as a couple so you can bounce ideas off each other like your "pillow talks". Keep up the great videos I'll be watching!!

After I posted this I felt like I should find a motorhome and go for a summer road trip cross country!l I found the perfect one and know I have to make a leap of faith "there's no time like the present" I feel like the old me! My son checked it out already and said Yeah go for it! Thank you so much for reminding me who I am and that someone is always watching over me! :) I love being spontaneous

Travel broadens the mind, your absolutely learn so much from travelling moreso than you would do from books or school etc! Definitely exposing children to different countries, languages, cultures, religions, cuisines, fashion, lifestyle, so so much to see and learn!!! We love travelling and take our kids too - went to Morocco recently, those few days experiencing french and arabic language, cuisines alone was so enriching! They loved it! & we will definitely continue - so totally agree with you both and much respect to you both too! Kids really will appreciate this mind broadening experience. xx

Guys, you are our inspiration! We travel extensively with the kids, internationally, but you guys took it to a completely different level! You will not regret it, and neither will the kids. I don't know if you've been to Japan yet, but I strongly recommend adding it to your travel list.

I am so completely excited for your family! I have lived vicariously through you guys as you have been traveling the country. We homeschool and I want to do a year or two-long RV trip to travel the nation and learn about all the states, their history, geography, etc. It's not an option right now, but my kids are only 4 and 7 so I have hopes it will happen eventually. Good luck on this incredible new adventure, and let all the criticism roll off your backs. You are loving your family, teaching your kids, and serving God. That's all that matters,

I love your views of everything. As someone who doesn't plan on having my own children (if I see adoption as a feasible option, I will most definitely take that on), it's really wonderful how you view people who don't believe the same things as you. Having your kids exposed to different faiths and beliefs, cultures, nationalities, genders, etc is beautiful and really truly something I admire about you guys. Please keep us updated on everything! My fiance and I are so thankful for your family and being able to see firsthand that the ideas and dreams we have for our future family can actually be a reality. I would have given anything as a child to be able to travel the world with my family and I find it beautiful to see how vast the outlook of your children is becoming with each day you allow them to explore the world. I hope you all know that you are an inspiration to many of us and to always keep doing what you feel is right for your family. Eleven beautiful souls with hearts for God and I couldn't be happier to be allowed to follow along on your journey. As someone who has fought depression and many health issues and life bumps on my path to following my dreams, seeing you be vulnerable the other day and seeing that stress even effects people living their dream made me feel so much better. It was liking realizing that just because the road has bumps doesn't mean it's not worth traveling.

I loved this Q&A so much. I've grown up travelling and moving to different countries from age 3 when my parents moved me and my sister to Cambodia for 7 years and I wouldn't have changed it for anything. I'm 21 now and in my last semester of an anthropology degree at university and I've moved and travelled constantly throughout my life with my parents pulling me out of school and I am so confused as to how someone worries that your kids are missing out on anything just because they aren't having a "normal" upbringing. Travelling the world as a kid (and even now) made me who I am today and it opens your eyes to different cultures and people and it is the best thing ever. I'm so excited for your trip! You should definitely come to New Zealand if you end up in Australia!

I think it's Amazing! I completely understand where you are coming from. I have the exact same mindset when it comes to friends. Finding out who YOU ARE is more important than finding out who your friends are. I would have loved this as a child and being only a couple months in to full timing my children are LOVING IT! One of our conversations before we left and even before we built our Home 4 years ago was considering going overseas. So I'm Super Excited to follow this Journey! ❤🌎 You are Amazing parents and you are teaching them something more important than any other lesson in life and that is to Always follow your Hearts Compass. ❤

My family moved to Europe because of my parents' jobs several years ago (we were 17, 15, and 11 at the time). I was really excited to go, but my younger brothers weren't at the time. Now I can easily say it's the best thing we'v e ever done. We've been to many countries and befriended people of many cultures we would never have gotten to know otherwise. We'll probably all make our way back to America someday, but we love it here, and we love that we've had the privilege of gaining cultural understanding and empathy and a world perspective that we might not have acquired by staying in our small town American bubble. I think you're doing a great thing for your kids and I hope you all have the time of your lives!

As a 17 year old public high school student fully immersed in common core I can 100% say that homeschooling, world-schooling, and no-schooling is a great idea. I think public school desensitizes kids and makes them a lot more stressed out and pessimistic than a 13-18 year old should be. Standardized tests are a very big part of common core and I can tell you that they are a lot more trouble than their worth. I wish with all of my heart that I was home schooled because I learn so many things and immediately forget them, and most of it will never benefit me again. I think showing kids how the real world works and exposing reality to them is the best way for them to learn, not locked up in a school for 8 hours every day. Also thank you for having such wonderful videos, I look forward to them every single day and I feel like I learn a lot from them.
