Miguel when are you planning to do a rear tire carrier comparison? Also are you planning to do a video on retrofitting audio controls on an Element that doesn’t come with audio controls?

This is a mystery. I have only had my 2004 element about a year. It has very high mileage 478,000. Super clean inside and out. Got it cheap thinking I would have to put a new motor in sometime soon. Motor mounts and suspension new. No leaks no issues? I like to take it on a long trip but like to the Dragon meet up. But I’m a bit freaked out by the high mileage. I took it to a local mechanic to do a compression test #1 - 160psi 2- 170 psi 3- 160psi 4- 180psi He says the compression is great we’re both stumped. He thinks it must have been towed behind an RV. Which would explain high mileage good compression and new suspension. No check engine light passed California smog test. Have you guys ever seen an element with such high miles. Would you chance a trip in this car? Your opinion would be appreciated Thanks JAC

That’s amazing. K24 engines are long lasting especially when the maintenance are done on time

Hello guys. I was in Bryson City NC the other day. I went up to the Smokey Mountain Campground. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. About 500 ft after you turn on E Alarka rd the road had fallen away. It has been repaired but no guard rails. It seems you need to go straight, but there is a little jig to the left. It comes up fast on you. Maybe they will have it fixed by then..❤😊

Miguel, I wish I would have been able to ask this in the QA. I have a 2004 with an eCamper that I haven't used much yet and I'm curious how often you pop the eCamper top when you're just doing an overnight (at a gas station for example). Do you always pop it?
@Element_lifestyleАй бұрын
Hi, A rarely open it in gas stations or a parking lot if I am alone. If I am with somebody I did open the ecamper I. Parking lots or gas station.

I read somewhere that on one or two years of the Element there was some sort of available dog package which included, among other perks, separate rear ventilation to keep a dog cool in the back. Does anyone know what years the package might have been included, what options were added, and whether the options were significant enough to make it worth seeking out that year when looking to buy an E? I plan on living out of my E when I get one, and will of course want to take the comfort of my trusty canine sidekick into account when choosing an Element. Thanks, and happy travels!

You can buy the add ons, and put them in your existing E. I like the dog bone floor mats.

Hi do you ever do meetups in New York State or NJ? How much does it cost you both for gas for your trips? Do you have list of good mechanics that you recommend across the country? What app you use for camping? I am interested in 2009 - 2011 elements. any recommendations for buying and which salvage yards for parts besides going online? pls advise. thks rox

I live in NYC and have a 2004 Honda Element EX . I take my car to New Fix Rite Auto Repair at 778 Southern Blvd in the Bronx. They are reasonably priced on repairs and stand by their work. I take my car to Honda for oil changes and then they provide a free multipoint inspection. If there’s anything wrong I take it to Fix Rite. I tend to buy OEM parts on line at BK Honda. As for Junkyards there are some in NJ or PA. Just google and you should come up with some. Unfortunately there aren’t that many around. Good luck. My Element can be seen on Instagram.

Hey guys.. my name is Pattie. I have rented a huge cabin at EOTD. Would you two be interested in staying with us and renting out a room/beds for the weekend. My cabin is next to the East Coast Element Meetup crew. I will be providing breakfast every morning and maybe some dinners. We are having a big Taco Night Party Friday night at the cabin next door.
