"If you can say it , you can hear it" , that's the truth! I've been practicing English pronunciation and listening for 6 months , a year ago I couldn't understand what Native American speakers was saying to me , but once I started to learn these pronunciations my English got better than before, at the moment I can actually understand what people is talking about , tho I have some mistakes still, like grammar , but you know, you can improve them just practicing , thanks for the videos and you just earn yourself +1 subscriber :)

I laughed when you said "don't finnish the D, I'd go, I'd Go", but it was the best way I could feel the vibration of the sound. Thanks a lot.

6:54 So, how to pronounce words with double "T" in the middle like "better", "watter", "bottle"? I always hear the sound "D" in these words: "beDer", "woDer", "baDl". Sorry if it's been asked before, or covered in one of the previous lessons. All I found is the video about short vowels in "better" and similar words. While I am interested in consonants this time. If I look pesky with my questions, please let me know. I just got a bit too much excited having found such a brilliant channel and an opportunity of getting answers to the questions that tortured me for years and decades. Need some time to get used to it :)

same with "whatever" - what's that consonant sound in the middle: "D", "R", or some sort of a crossbreed sound? "whaDever" "whaRever"

Wondering how you'll pronounce the sentence "you'd been there?". What I mean is whether the "n" sound and the "th" sound is linked. And because it's a question, how would we raise the tone at the end of the sentence?

Is this sound similar to a glottal stop but with vibration of the vocal cords?
@coachshanesesl2 жыл бұрын
The vibration happens UP TO the stop. The stop could happen in the glottal region, but the Stop D sound is usually on the alveolar ridge.
