hello, I'm hoping you can help, I have a 2016 f250 6.7 with a led cluster and tried switching to a 2016 digital cluster witch just cycled every 10 seconds, after further checking was told I need to replace with a 2012 f250 6.7 cluster which indeed works except now my engine brake will not activate and of course compass as well but was told that was displayed in mirror not in cluster like 2016. my engine brake is my concern. Can you give me any ideas on what to do? thank you!

Zach! You know electric well. I have a couple questions. I'm sorry it is about someone else system, but I really think they are over doing it. I think it is King Shaka. They sell a green board for the 2008 dash for the cluster. It comes with all the transistors so that we do not over load the dummy lights etc. However. We are connecting to this new green board straight from the terminals of the old lights. And with a fairly heavy gauge wire in relation if you ask me. My question: Do we really need to ave all these transistors when the Curren is allready passing through transistors on the old board before it is transferred to the ew board? And do we really need such a heavy gauge wire that they recommend as if the lighter gauge wire will burn out if we use it. As it is, the transistor are send very low voltage. I feel that it would be better to use a thinner wire ad be much easier to sandwich it all together. Ad if the current is heavy enough to burn the wire, then wouldn't it actually burn out the circuit board as the terminals and routes in the board are much thinner? I feel like I would rather have a wire short out, then have a bulb or rote on the board get shorted and burned out. Are you with me on this. It seems that we are now passing through two resistors for every bulb.And the wire we are using to tie it all together is so heavy that the rest of the board would burn out before any of the wire would burn out. Which would you rather see bro. The wire which could easily be replaced if it is one wire. Or replace the entire board which is what would happen if we burn out even one route in the board.

Have you heard of an issue with “cold solder” in the cluster for 2002 superduty that causes the radio and front power windows to not have power? I have had the issue, intermittently for 3-4 years now. If so, let me know if upgrading to a newer style cluster would resolve the issue.
