This video is NOT about R' Manis Friedman. It only presents the position that it is not HERETICAL to say God needs us. This question was also brought to Rav Yaakov Hillel, the well know Kabbalist and Rosh Yeshiva of Ahavat Shalom. His answer was that it is NOT heretical to say God needs us - BUT that this idea should be taught with a proper explanation so people won't misunderstand this idea. Sources that Discuss this idea are Shomer Emunim by the Kabbalist Rav Yosef Ergas; The Shelah HaKadosh, couting the Avodat HaKodesh and explaining the idea in great length. All the best

Rabbaim are calling him a heretic. Learned Rabbaim. R Yaakov Hillel I'm sure was not told of Manis's recent heretical book and his online speeches denying Hashem's power and oneness which requires a need for nothing from anyone. Tehillim 50

@@leahdonner6602 OK, we'll do this again - THIS VIDEOMISN'T ABOUT R FRIEDMAN - and No Rabbi qualified to rule on the matter has ever called R Friedman a heretic -only those 2 popular speakers on KZbin. The many many rabbis and the many sources and this video all support the fact that it isn't heretical - the rest of the criticisms of how and what R Friedman says has nothing to do with this video. And those 2 that are obsessed with him are wrong - even if he said things that people will misunderstand in a heretical way - R FRIEDMAN is not a HERETIC at all - he knows more about Torah than most rabbis. And again NOT one qualified Gadol has called him a heretic NOT Rabbi Feldman listen to their last video closely - not once did he call R Friedman a heretic -he is misquoted in the video cover all the best

@@divinewisdomliveabetterlif3511 Quoting here: Manis Friedman Is A Heretic Misleading the Public Rav Aharon Feldman said that Manis Friedman is a heretic and a fool, that should go back to learning Torah instead of teaching the public. Rav Aharon Feldman is one of the Gadolei Hador in America, and a member of Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, Council of great Torah Sages, and member of Agudath Israel of America. The things Manis Friedman teaches goes against the Jewish Sages and the Masoret of Am Yisrael. His heresy is a great danger to the Jewish people, and in the words of Rav Aharon Feldman, this must be "publicized everywhere" to warn the public.

@@leahdonner6602 FYI I spoke with the nephew of Rav Feldman personally - he is a real Torah scholar - not like other rabbis on KZbin that fool their viewers to think they are BIG RABBIS deserving of MUCH honor. NO Mrs. Donner - you are quoting an inaccurate quote on the Thumbnail. Rav Feldman NEVER called R Friedman a heretic - he said saying there is no reward and punishment is heretical - in fact Rav Feldman went out of his way to speak good about him - and to specifically not call him a heretic - because the last thing he is is a heretic. I know you mean well that is why I am answering you again. The truth is R' Reuven who is behind all of these videos doesn't act in accordance with the Torah - even though there defenitely is room to criticize R Friedman and even to call what is in the clips as heresy - He has hinted in his videos that R Friedman molested his own child - it's in a videom that thousands of people views and it's sick - Aside from kosher rabbis he has mocked and insulted holy rabbis that he doesn't reach the ankles of - like R' Berkowitz - one of the leading American Ravs in the world today - he brushed of the rabbis of Ohr Somayach including Rav Yitzchak Breitowitz and Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb as a bunch of heretics - in those comments - he desecrated God's name and put himself in the category of someone that has no Olam Haba - and will never get out of Gehinom - unless he repents from his sins. I wish you well may God help you to follow the Torah and get the answers to the questions stopping you from doing so all the best R Botton

G-d needs us! What do you create when you do not need it? In order to be a "G-d"-creation must be His essence? Is not "G-d needs" us is an attribute of G-d? Is it not that out of His divine "need" that He created the World? Does not G-d sustains this world (creations) every moment so that it does not goes back to nothingness, so eternally G-d has a divine need for His Creation-an essence of G-d? Imagine, G-d doesn't need His Creation and decides to cause or suspend all His creations to go to nothingness? Will there still be a world? So, out of His divine need He has to maintain this world/universe, which attributes to Him being the eternal G-d?

What you say isn’t wrong, but God is also more than thought. In fact believing God isn’t more than thought would be heretical, because it limits God in a way that is not true.

You all are confused. You all are reading from a position you’re not in. Hashem told Israel to obey Him after He brought them out of bondage. He told them to love Him and love each other because He had chosen them and revealed Himself to that generation specifically. Israel cried out to Adonai and He heard their cries in Egypt. He redeemed or bought them out of slavery and because He did they were now married to Him and pert of His Kingdom and commanded them to act a certain way: love. He doesn’t need you or anything you have. How dishonorable is it that Yahweh brought a mighty nation to nothing for a people and they complain and accuse Him of being an evil tyrant who only wanted to destroy them after freeing them? And then they get annoyed with Him because of leeks and onions? How many onions have you eaten that someone didn’t cry during the process of preparation and the people got angry at the One true and living God who made them His over that. Hashem is the one who answers and delivers when a man realizes his desperate need for Him and then He says love me because I have loved you. It’s like you walking down the road and seeing a dog laying on the side dying and looking at you wining with a desperate plea for mercy filled with food and water and shelter so you provide it because your heart loves that desperate dog. Then, after it recovers it turns its nose up at your food, doesn’t want to be near you, craps all over your house, attacks your other pets and wines all day like it did on the side of the road. Believe me. He doesn’t need you or anyone else. Until you accept that you can’t build a tower of good deeds and reach Him you’ll never find Him. Before that you have to be willing to accept that you Rabbis aren’t chosen teachers and become desperate enough to accept what He says when you cry out for the Truth and He reveals Himself to you as the King of the Jews. Then He will deliver you and command that you love Him as He removes your heart of stone and gives you a heart of flesh and causes His Spirit to dwell in you as He makes you His house of prayer. You wear yourselves out by trying to earn God. Would you love a woman from your heart if one saw you walking down the street and said “Ah! That’s the one I want! I’m going to give you 10 million dollars and you’ll be mine and love me?” No. Are you a whore? Is your heart bought? How shameful would that life be that you traded the right to meet a woman and love each other for 10 trillion dollars? That would say you love money and not people. Does God love people who are good enough or did He choose Israel because they were the most pathetic of all the nations and that’s why He crushed Egypt? I don’t know about you but a woman who’s willing to play her part in my life is attractive but a woman who wants to wear my pants isn’t. I don’t even like being a “Manly man” since meeting the Lord. I don’t want my wife to be anything but gentle and loving and to be excited about her place in pleasing me like I am about my place in pleasing her. Do you neeeeed some woman? Is God sad and depressed if you say no to Him? Is He less satisfied with Himself than you are with yourself? Hashem does not need people.

Yes, R Friedman says the idea differently - BUT THIS video’s purpose is only to clarify that it isn’t heretical to say is, as the other 2 rabbis mistakenly claim. This video has nothing to do with the other issues surrounding him and them.

Maybe we can also rely this concept in positive and negative mitzvot. "Mitzvah lo tasseh" are for the jew himself, but mitzvah asseh is another level.

Interesting thought. Here are some points about both types of mitzvot - maybe it will Help you develop your thoughts about the mitzvot. From what I remember A positive mitzvah draws down divine light. Transgressions of a negative mitzvah causes a spiritual blemish to the soul. Positive mitzvot are rooted in the spiritual right, and love - negative mitzvot rooted in the left and fear. All the best

@@divinewisdomliveabetterlif3511 I knew it! So positive mitzvot are a key to be part in bringing the messianic redemption! While the negative mitzvot are just for us but they don't achieve really any hastening of the redemption, I guess.

But do humans really truly get it? Why does Heavenly Father send messengers if humans think they figured it all out. He sends messengers because humans are really lost....

You are right, as a whole, meaning the overwhelming majority are lost - I like to put it is these terms - the blind leading the blind. But there is a minority of people that aren’t lost and and even smaller minority within them that still have the true message and tradition that goes all the way back to day 1.

If God can fulfill his needs, then he’s not needy and he’s certainly not deficient in anything. so to call him needy, deficient in something, would be heresy in my opinion. God wants us to pass our test, but he certainly doesn’t need us to pass our test. hence the reason for punishment. Just so there’s no confusion, why say God is needy at all, just don’t say it.

You make a good point - but keep these 2 points in mind: 1) the sages discuss if the Divine Commands are for us or for a higher purpose 2) The rabbis don’t use the term needy - but they were asked by students if it is heretical to say God needs us - because R Friedman who did say needy in video clips has been called a heretical for saying God needs us. This video comes to clarify that it isn’t heretical And if you watched the video - it is mentioned a self created need doesn’t make one needy - but it would make the word need correct and it this point that makes your comment different from the rabbis opinion in the video Thanks for your interest in the video and All the best Channel manager

Haven't heard that. The video proves of what Rav Feldman saw was obviously enough for him to call Manis a FOOL and ignoramus that shouldn't be teaching the public! I'm not sure of what affiliation you have with Manis that you spend quite sometime in his defense despite hearing the words of a Gadol clearly asking his voice be recorded and shared by all. Yes the Gadol made that request, yet you downplay this which is eyebrow raising. Emet, our Torah is Emet and I value our true Rabbaim with Real Yirat Shamayim. I too love every jew and chasveshalom I should judge. But I also respect our TRUE Rabbaim and encourage everyone to ask Rav Feldman himself of where he is holding IF his own voice message isn't proof enough for some people. You are really also insinuating that Rav Feldman would just make such statements without having the proper information available, that's the scent here. A Gadol is to be respected and his message never to be downplayed or explained off. I hope you agree with that.

Before you question me ask how his own nephew that is a true Torah scholar (I would consider myself a student of his) sees it the same way. I understand things can be confusing, Torah is hard and confusing sometimes for everyone. I have no affiliation with him other than learning from his recorded classes. I know is that Rav Friedman is a genius and the last thing he is is Am HaAretz - it’s as I said Rav Deldman didn’t test his Torah knowledge or watch his videos - he was told by someone what R Friedman said in those clips we all saw - and based on that he said what he said. Please read through my comments more carefully - I accept what Rav Feldman has said - and he is correct - there is at least 20 comments by me in the videos on Divine Wiadom saying in a much much softer way that there issues with what and how R Friedman speaks. And I watched the video again, and like I said he doesn’t call him a heretic he says what was said is heretical- and there’s a big difference- and the thumbnail and maybe the text in the video misquotes him - and if it was done on purpose that is Sheker lies. My only interest here is to teach Torah and try and answer questions first to the students I teach and to people like you that comment of the videos.

Rav Feldman is a Fodal and his opinion can be relied upon- his psak is that what was said as presented to him is heretical and that’s fine with me - regarding R Friedman himself he doesn’t know him personally nor did he hear his classes but it doesn’t matter he must have concluded that anyone that says what he said must be an am HaArets, and I am not arguing with him - but I am repeating what other big rabbis have said - that though what he said seems like heresy - he isn’t a heretic.
