Hello I have a bit of a strange question. I live in growing zone 6a - 7b, my husband and I just got a new home that sits up high with a large stone wall in the front of the house. The front garden area is level with the top of the stone wall. The house faces west with plenty of sun. My question to you is.... what type of flowering vine can I grow that will give an illusion of a flowering waterfall growing down over the stone wall?

Hi Ebah, Thunbergia (known as black-eyed susan vine) is a beautiful low-maintenance climber that loves sun and produces fragrant, vibrant yellow flowers with black centers. Or we have a Clematis montana Mayleen that is a vigorous, dense climber that produces an amazing mass of light pink flowers against a bronze foliage. My final suggestion would be our Aubretia Blue; a lovely cascading plant that produces clusters of blue-violet flowers and is a great hardy addition for growing on slopes or up walls. Hi jeff, i have a clematis ‘mr president’ and i wanted a new obelisk for it. As i was swapping the obelisk some of the stems started fracturing should i keep them as they are or remove them they do have lots of buds on?

Hi Kyle, you can keep them if you catch it quickly. Splice grafting broken plants is a method that will attach the main body back onto the broken stems. You can choose a splint (ice lolly stick or pencil) - hold the broken edges together and place the splint along the edge - bind them together (electrical tape) then watch and wait to see if your plant has survived the treatment.
