Hi, I think your journey mirrors, our journey, to living in Mauritius pretty closely, we(Myself, Wife and young son) moved here a few month before you guys (July 2022). The place is really amazing, so much to do and so much more relaxed than it was back living in South Africa. The premium visa's helps a lot, was a really simple process. Overall, we found the island really great, people have been very friendly, and helpfull, of course, there is a bit of culture shock, in that what we expected to be simple, was not so simple, for example online shopping is really still in its infancy from what we have experienced so far. We opted to move to the north of the island, seemed like a good idea, and I think it was the right choice for us. I guess if i had to ask a question, I would have to ask what was the key factor in deciding to move to the area's you guys chose. Having said all of that Welcome to Mauritius, hope you guys are going to have an amazing time. Keep up the great videos.

White south Africans are the worst people who can ever moved here, local are kind because white immigrants are confused to locals! Since the arrival of those people into our island they've behaved equally barbaric like they used to be in their home country. Locals doesn't like them in general, too racist!

Welcome to Mauritius. It's a great place to grow up trilingual (Fr, En and another language of choice) and learn other cultures but unfortunately human nature has it communitarianism and ethno/religiocentric hyprocrisy gnaw the social fabric of the country to utter wear. Only the 35% or so general population are easy going letting go of this nonsense and mixing it up... but enough debbie downing ...at least our fellow Mauritians shall have a generous helping of NJ vocal fry 😁

During the visa process were they strict on the amount of money you made?
