Another good video. Our 1st cruise was Celebrity, Greek Islands, just fabulous. Just returned from Norwegian fjords cruise ,again excellent.Recommend Aqua level as personal restaurant & spa access better.

Another great video. Greece is my favourite holiday destination as well. I think Ashley would like Rhodes Old Town, lots of wonderful architecture. Also the Asklepieion in Kos which is an ancient medical centre dated from 3rd century BC. Looking forward to the next Q&A.

Celebrity is our fave cruise line. Their coffee shop ‘cafe el bacio’ (included in the price I think ) is fab with small cakes at coffee and tea time and small sandwiches at lunch time.

We cruised Alaska with celebrity a few years ago and then did the Rocky mountaineer train - highly recommend, Vancouver is also a great city to visit at the same time. Thoroughly enjoyed all three of these places. Currently in Cyprus for our 40th wedding anniversary at an absolutely fabulous hotel.

Thanks Caroline. One of my favourite Greek islands was Kefalonia. Beautiful & not very built up. It was 40 degrees though, so had to do that funny dance on the sand lol 😂 x

I love Celebrity Cruises ❤ the best food we’ve ever had on a cruise, very adult oriented but that was the Eclipse . We were looking at New York and a cruise recently ❤

One of my holiday goals is the QM2 between Southampton and New York. A very good friend of mine is booked regularly as musical entertainment and I would love to book a cruise that he's performing on. He's just got back from New York actually. Unfortunately unless our lottery numbers come up I can't see it happening sadly. A holiday in Greece is a realistic goal though....... 🥰

Hi Caroline. Very enjoyable vlog, and thank you for 'divulging' your end of the year trip on QM2. How great, and I guessed that correctly!! Last time you and Ashley did that trip, the day you were embarking was the same day we were disembarking. It's probably the same this year. I'm going on the 13-day Caribbean Celebration on QM2. I love that particular cruise because that is when they do the decorations for the holidays a little more each day 🎄 We'll get the 🚢 ship beautiful for you! 😃

Definitely agree that it's the company that makes a holiday. Our best ones in recent times have been Venice and Ireland with children. their partners and our grandson.

Have been to many many places in the world but I have to say the cruise with MCS was dreadful.weather not good food awful and only 8 english people on board. We love Katmandu and the Everest region.

Looking forward to Part 3! Although you covered a lot in Part 2. Like you, I love Greece and her islands. Crete is lovely in the Spring with all the flowers on the Lasithi Plain. I walked Samaria Gorge in Western Crete, and also stayed in Chania. For me the western part is the nicest. I would have liked to visit Knossos but did not gat there. Other walking and sightseeing holidays have been to Rhodes and Symi, Samos, Santorini, Paros, and Naxos, Delos for the antiquities, Alonissos ( where we were fishing boat lifted in the middle of of the night because of forest fires and the road access to the resort was on fire - yes things happen to me!), Skiathos and Skopelos - and went up the hill where the wedding took place in Mamma Mia. The mainland south of the Corinth Canal is also interesting for antiquities- Delphi, Olympia, Sparta, Mycenae. On that holiday we followed a BBC presenter, a historian from Warwick University filming for a series. He did an excellent film on the history of Delphi and brought it to life with computer generated info. I think his name was Dr Michael Scott?? Yes you can see I love Greece like you! Re New York - walking the Highline in the centre on the west side was interesting, and also visiting the Tenement Museum down the bottom end. There are several houses kept as they would have been for the early immigrant arriving from mainly Europe. In Northern Ireland the Titanic Experience was worth a visit. That coastline is impressive and beautiful. Can you tell that if I had not spent my life in the NHS I would have liked to work in travel! Have a lovely holiday to Greece - I feel very envious! Sorry this is an epic response! ❤❤❤

Very interesting Caroline - thank you. I don’t know if you’ve come across ‘Emma Cruises’ on KZbin. Viewers accompany her all over the world on a wide variety of Cruise ships, including of course, Celebrity. She shows us the cabins and all over the ships. Not bring a cruiser myself I enjoy going with her! Her presentation is top notch.

My hubby's parents lived in Alaska, so got to see it during the summer & winter, both extremes. I remember sitting out on MIL's deck, sipping wine, just chatting away - I kept waiting for the sun to go down; looked at the clock, it was nearly midnight. The midges reminded me of Scotland, so many little beasts. We're planning on a trip to Greece, you've def influenced us :) Thanks for sharing!

thank you! I'm a bit of an eyeshadow-aholic, I use all sorts of different brands and have around 70 palettes. there's not a brand I'd specifically recommend, but with eyeshadow, you definitely don't need to spend lots of money to get good products.

Hi Caroline enjoy your cruise on Celebrity. I think you will find it a lot different than Cunard. I’ve done a lot of cruising all different lines(even stuck on one in Covid…not that that is anything to crow about!) and personally I find the American ships e.g Celebrity and Royal Caribbean so much more fun and relaxed to be on. Cunard is a bit starchy in comparison. I haven’t been on the Apex but been on that line a few times, any advice you said….It’s American so lots of loose fitting clothes as they take food to a different level! You will have a great time. Xx

Hi Caroline, sorry to be back again so soon but just having a coffee and scanned through the comments again. Noticed someone mentioned Emma Cruises on KZbin. I watch her and it is very interesting. Emma has been cruising since she was 11 years old and now has turned her love into a business. If you have not come across this, it may interest you. The other KZbin that I find has good information rather than just a tour of the ships, is Tips for Travellers. Gary Bembridge has recently gone through the change in cruise lines from the previous concepts to the more modern, larger lines to emphasise that choosing the correct line is so important now with so many very large ‘party’ type ships and some more family focused. His info may be useful. Thank you for your comments to my last comment on this video. Back to my coffee!
