And my dad has brown eyes and we all got green eyes (the colour that you get when you mix blue and brown genes), and since India's eyes are so vibrant, her baby has a huge chance at getting her eyes.

So Dear India, we all talk about how cute you both are together, about how beautiful you are, how happy we are for your wedding, how lovely your curly hair is . Now all of these are true.... but I am going to tell you what really impressed me with this video. First you have a Christian foundation, you are doing pre-marriage counseling.... but The most important moment in this video I want to point out is when Daniel was joking about children and mentioned the prayer warriors. Weddings are lovely, weddings are romantic, weddings are exciting... marriage is often all of these things also, but what will keep you together for the rest of your life will be that your husband has a relationship with the power of prayer, and that he knows warriors who also know that. I am so happy for you both🙏👵🏻

India for your honeymoon I highly highly HIGHLY recommend going to Greece! Specifically Santorini and Crete! In Santorini, you must go on a day excursion to Oia! On the boat ride along the way, look for a trip that includes stopping at a hot spring! Once you are at Oia, ride a donkey to the top, and watch the sunset! That is also where most of the "Greece" photos are taken with the white houses and blue Santorini roofs! Sooo beautiful! Then when you go to Crete, go to Elafonisi beach, where there is pink sands from the coral washing up upon the shores and breaking down. If you go in the afternoon/evening, there is not many people on the beach, it is wide and expansive, with clear baby blue waters! Also go snorkeling or scuba diving in Crete as a day excursion! You will love it! To get around Santorini and Crete, you'll need to rent a care for a day or two, but the maps and directions are super easy to understand. You can see the whole island in a couple days, see lighthouses, hike volcanos! So much fun and adventuring in a beautiful place for you and Daniel! In Italy, I would highly recommend Cinqueterre or Venice! Cinqueterre has beautiful colorful views along the coast, and great for hiking! Venice is super beautiful and romantic. I've been to both if you need recommendations :) Another place in Italy, I've never been but it's on my list: Amalfi Coast. The views and pictures look spectacular! I think it's near Rome, another one of my favorite cities! Sorry I don't have any marriage book recommendations! I'm just a single girl that loves to travel lol

India I think it’s great you guys don’t want money to be an issue in your relationship. I had the exact same feeling before I got married. However the Lord had other plans. Our first year of marriage was really tough, especially in the financial department. But it taught us valuable lessons. I say this only to offer my advice after being married a year and a half that if money issues do arise early on in the marriage I encourage u to seek biblical counsel from someone u trust and always communicate communicate communicate no matter how tired and old it gets to talk about money. Unfortunately there’s a stigma around seeking marriage counseling “too soon” in a marriage which I think is silly because I’d rather be too soon than too late. And counseling is so therapeutic and healthy for a marriage. We did 10 sessions of premarital counseling with our pastor who then married us, and he counseled us through our financial problems during our first year of marriage. It was tough no doubt about that, but having that support around you pouring the love of Jesus into you and speaking the truth helps you get through the dark times. So don’t be scared about money problems. It doesn’t mean if you have them your relationship is doomed. That’s what the devil liked to make me think. It just means you need God more and it truly does make you stronger when you work through the problem together. Congrats on your engagement!

I am not married, but my parents had 24 years of an amazing marriage, so I wanted to share some of their advice: 1.) make it a habit to pray together. God convicted my Dad of this early on. He went to a marriage conference and the speaker told them the divorce rate is around 50% and it’s the same for Christian couples. But the divorce rate for couples who pray together is either 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000. It’s significantly lower. 2.) divorce wasn’t an option for my parents. When they said “till death do us part” they meant it 100%. Dad said that fact was comforting when they argued because you can either work out the problem or be miserable for the next 20 years. 🙃 it’s a good motivator for communication. 3.) present a united front for your children. If I asked one parent a question and they said yes or no then that was my answer. One person spoke for both or if it was a big decision they discussed it before giving an answer. Growing up it was obvious that they respected each other and were very much a team. 4.) have fun together. 😊 some of my best memories are of my entire family just being really silly together. 🤗 Hope this helps someone.

What I've learned from my marriage is that when it comes to your disagreements, or arguments it's so important to look at it as you and your partner against the problem and not you and your partner against each other! I just found your channel. Y’all are adorable! My husband and I have been married for 29 years. From the beginning we talked about finances. This is how much money we have. We always discussed spending with each other and have never argued about money. One word of advice is, if you can afford to, save 3 to 6 months worth of expenses in case of a crisis. That way you will have some breathing room to find a new job or get the unforeseen big repair on your home, etc. Just keep the communication open. I’ve been married for 7 years and we have been together for 10.. my best advice is to ALWAYS communicate with each other. Also in our house we do not yell at one another. We will talk it out and fix what needs fixin before it escalates. We always kiss each other goodnight and good morning, and we FLIRT! So many married couples stop flirting with one another after so long. The 5 love languages is a wonderful book for both to read and take the quiz!

My biggest advice for your wedding day is to find half an hour between the ceremony and the reception to just be alone, sigh and go, we did it! My husband and I had ended up with an hour between our ceremony and reception. We were starving and stopped for gas station snacks, rolled up to the bridal suite (which we didn't use to get ready) and just sat on the couch giggling and snacking. It was our favorite moment of that day.

I would say wait at least a year until you have kids. Just to have some time as a couple to travel and bond. Kids are amazing but you can loose focus of your spouse and relationship because kids demand so much of you. ideas for honeymoon : Spain ,Italy , Greece.. once you get over to europe, traveling between countries is super cheap! I went from Rome to Athens for $60. so if you have the time, i would definately recommend checking out another country while youre there. You can also do the trains, RailEurope for pretty views, also very cheap!

my husband and I got married in September and worked through Catching Foxes by John Henderson - we'd HIGHLY recommend it! either with a mentor couple or just the two of you. it really teaches the biblical meaning behind marriage & you'll walk away ready to take on marriage in a new way! we wanted to do Greece or Portugal for our honeymoon but ended up with an all-inclusive in Mexico for the simplicity/lack of planning it required. whatever you choose will be a great time together :)

Two thoughts/ideas/suggestions came to mind after watching this video, India & Daniel, from someone who's been married 34 years: 1) If neither one of you are comfortable with an open bar - DON'T HAVE ONE! Uncontrolled alcohol consumption can make things spiral out of control so fast and so far that if you don't want that happening on your special day, avoid the temptation by simply not having one. Even if you're just thinking of beer and wine, it's still alcohol, and it can still create problems from those who imbibe to much. 2) You WILL be exhausted at the end of your wedding day (BTDT!) Thus, rather than flying off on your honeymoon that day, spend a night or two in an upscale hotel at home - without telling anyone! That will give you both time to really relax, recuperate, and spend some real quality time intimately sharing the beginning of your new lives as a married couple. There will be lots of silly and funny moments during these first 48 hours, and you will think back on them much more fondly if you're rested and not exhausted. We did that, and both of our kids did it also when they got married, and we all agree it was one of the best decisions we made when it came to planning our/their weddings. Congratulations, you two, it looks like you're on your way to a beautiful marriage in God's eyes!

I never knew if I would know who "the one" is.. On my first ever date with the first guy who asked me out we discussed EVERYTHING! Love for Jesus, values, likes, dislikes, money, kids, how you'd raise kids.. Ya'll should definitely look into going to Costa Rica for your honey moon possibly! I studied abroad there in Spring 2018 and it is a beautiful tropical country that has so many breath taking beaches and rain forest! There is so many fun recreational activities you can do there such as zip lining, white water rafting, horse back riding, etc. Also the people there are amazing! They are so hospitable, friendly, welcoming, and down to earth; And the culture is really laid back, its the best! :) - Pura Vida!

Yo Greece is amazing!!! Check out Santorini of course, but also look at smaller islands that are less touristy (Rhodes is beautiful). Also Costa Rica is great if you are into adventure (beach and rainforest- I highly suggest Manuel Antonio and la fortuna area)

Any conversation you are contemplating having or any thought you’re struggling with being honest about toward your partner or even without, have that conversation, out loud, with your spouse, ASAP! Nothing bad will come from being open and honest. It’s uncomfortable and sometimes hurts but your intention is to build a deeper, loyal bond, not to hurt each other, and forgiveness and admiration will work you through the tough talks. If you want to end your marriage and become bitter, resentful and angry at the world, stop talking to each other and stop telling each other what you’re thinking and start being deceptive with your heart and thoughts. It works like a charm! Also, adoption, for some, like me and my spouse...will push your marriage to places you’ve never been, spiritually and every other way following! (difficult and good) Have a good marriage counselor for tough times...don’t use family or friends so you don’t guard your selfish/flesh of the world side. Be open and raw even when everything in you is saying don’t expose yourself.

Congrats guys! I have done marriage counseling before and the book I would recommend the most is the 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman. It is awesome and IMO one of the most important concepts to learn in a relationship. Hope you like it, my wife and I have been married for 17 years and this book has helped a lot. I've read it a few times over the years including during our pre-marital counseling and then again last year as our love languages can change or one becomes more dominate than another as our lives change.
