I spent three years backpacking in the 90's and i really resonate with the comment about wanting to share moments with someone else... a friend said it was the hardest thing about travelling before i even left.. No mobile phones back then and we barely had e-mail ... at times it was definitely the loneliest thing even being surrounded by a world of people.... I don't backpack anymore but visit a new place for a month at a time to readily absorb... vietnam next year for me XXXX

Very insightful video, thanks a million for your input. Planning a trip to Vietnam this summer after much ado. Mine is also a quest for self love, hoping to get lost and find myself as silly as it sounds. My friend is tagging along, he joined me on our trip to Thailand and Siem Reap, Cambodia 5 years back. Feels like a lifetime ago now lol. Introducing him to the concept of long stretches of roughing it, I have almost two weeks of camping planned for the Philippines when I eventually make it there after all lol. Happy travels, and everything in between. I'm glad you managed to do some healing abroad!

Thank you for these videos, they're really helpful and insightful! About riding a motorcycle, did you have a licence before traveling, or it's not necessary to rent one there?

Japan is AH-mazing .... my suggestion is not to spend too much time in Tokyo but see all the smaller parts ...Kyoto is a def but there are so many great seaside and mountainous places...

hi grace! i just came home after 5 months on the road and wanted to comment and say that your videos helped me SO much while i was planning my travels throughout southeast asia! a lot of travel content on youtube and tiktok are pairs/couples or outdated, pre-covid info but i thought your videos were heaven sent and i shared them a lot with other solo travellers i met along the way ☺️
@gracefkim Жыл бұрын
Oh I'm so happy to hear that! I agree - so many other travelers are usually partnered up so it was a bit confusing for me too! But that's so sweet of you. Thanks for sharing & being here 🤗
