Today we are doing a witchy Q&A: I am answering all your questions regarding my witchcraft journey, personal beliefs, and just a little behind-the-scenes juice about me 😄

Some of the questions I will be answering in this video are: what drew me to witchcraft, if my family members practice witchcraft, what my zodiac sign is, and how my magic weight loss journey is going. I will also share why I lived all over Europe, what my favorite pagan holidays are and what herb I like to use most in my witchcraft practice.

I am Native American, Turtle clan from the Miami tribe. My great grandmother was a medicine woman and gathered herbs for her practice. The Turtle clan are the storytellers- carrying our history on our backs. History, medicinal & cleansing herbs are important to me as well as astrological rituals, like the grandmother moon ceremony. I am also Native American!! I wish I knew as much about my ancestry and ancestors as you do, it seems like such a blessing to have that. I don’t know much about my tribe since my grandmother moved to Washington state to start her family, which is where I live and am from, and my tribe is in Missouri I think?? I know I am from the Chickamauga tribe and one more, but I am not sure what the other one is unfortunately. When I get the chance I will try to dig deeper into it, it is something very important to me. I hope to find out if my family has medicine women like yours!! I'm exactly the same. I was in a coven for a while, but their focus on goddess work and magic for things happening on the other side of the world, made me feel like I had to pretend to believe things that I just didn't. I still really appreciate those people, but left the coven and am now doing the things that work for me :) I'm sure there are more people like us who are more about nature and self development than religion or the supernatural :)

Would love to hear you talk about this more! I’m an atheist, not spiritual and very rational/science-oriented, but I’ve been drawn to witchcraft for decades. I’ve never been able to make sense of these two things before and I’ve never heard of anyone talk about it this way. Would love to hear more!

I also feel this way. I am a scientist by training. I view the world in a very logical way. I really struggle with some of the more magical and metaphysical aspects of these types of worldviews/religions. I consider myself a Druid. I appreciate the fact that there are things beyond our current level of understanding. I think "magic" works through psychology, intention, and your own inner strength which you manipulate and focus into what you want to happen in the world. That seems to make sense and be logical to me. I really enjoy these videos. Thank you for sharing 🙃

My first memories as a child, were ones of looking for rocks, climbing the trees and loving the sounds of the leaves. When I was 18 my grandmother told me about a spell my great grandmother put on me when I was born, as soon as I heard that I knew that everything I had felt and seen was real, if that makes sense. I never really understood the relationship between spells, prayer, ritual and practice. I was raised catholic, I practiced witchcraft on my own for a short time, and my grandmother, who is Native American did spiritual rituals when I was a kid. I’m just now rediscovering my interest interest in witchcraft or something like it. As a man I always felt excluded from the witch community but as a person living with ptsd, physical holistic practices have helped a lot with my wellness journey. Your channel has given me so much encouragement to have fun and be creative. Thank you so much for for what you do!

Bex, I am beyond excited to have found you and your channel. I've been a witch since I was a teen and fascinated by nature, mind, and intent connections. I was part of a small group of wiccans once, but left that coven after a few months having never felt that it was a great fit. Practicing on my own I have been active and inactive at different times in my life, but always aware of magic. One struggle I have always had, though, was how to incorporate deity into my belief system. I was raised Christian and felt that there had to be an inclusion of god(s) in my "religion". All the wiccan and witchy books I studied included religion in identifying as a witch. You have freed me of that mindset, of feeling I was continuing to "do it wrong" to some degree. Thank you. I will be 61 on January 4th. (I sense that we might share a birthday.) I am binge watching your videos and am enthralled in experiencing a witchy life that does not have to be religious. Claudine, It sounds like we waked the same path. I tried really hard to connect to Goddess energy but it never clicked. Once I didn’t ry to gender or personify the energy, it was easy to connect.At 60, I am more comfortable as a solitary witch than I ever was in a coven. I miss my Craft working partner ( he passed) but it’s lovely to work my own Craft in my own time.

I'm part Cherokee on both sides of my family. I was able to attend the Pow Wow in Cherokee, N Carolina this year. That was amazing. I live in Texas, BBQs and rodeos are a must. I'm a history buff and armchair archaeologist so I love folklore. I started learning tarot two yrs ago. I'm very happy to have found your channel. I’m late for this but I enjoy getting to know fello witches too. I’m New Zealand born but dads English so now I live in England, I been practicing witch craft for about 8 years now. I feel, hear, and see spirits more so now I live in a very old cottage. Love embracing the season changes here Autumn being my fav and celebrating Samhain is definitely my fav. I love your energy as a witch. It makes me feel very forest-mystical and a warm loving feeling around you in the video. This is amazing. I was interested in Witchcraft over 20 years ago but things went left. Today there is so much more information on youtube that I was missing in the past, and so it's easy to see that everyday we practice some sort of witchcraft in daily life! Can you talk about the friendly earth spirits or deities in the field? I'm not sure who if I should work with any. I do love the earth element I am a Capricorn.

(23:42): My friend, I have some notes from someone going through it. In a nutshell: 1. Therapy 2. Journaling 3. Meditation The combo of these three things have turned my world around. Therapy has helped my direction. Focus on self-love, reparenting, and taking time everyday to check-in with yourself and make sure you are grounding yourself when you need to. When you find a therapist that fits you (preferably someone suited for trauma) and fully understands your goals, the weight lifts from your shoulders instantly. Yup, INSTANTLY. It sets you up for wanting to get to the finish line and really learn more about yourself. Just know that in order for the good to come, you might need to shed some tears and be real with yourself about your needs/ wants and deep dive on things that might be difficult. Part of your change is the world around you so set yourself up in a safe, loving place to grow and you will succeed. Journaling and Meditation have become an important part in my own journey. Having come from an unsafe childhood, I never really came into myself. These two methods combined have helped me calm the self deprecating feelings that have always plagued me and have helped me to reformed them into positive feelings, thoughts, and actions. Journaling has helped me put into words things I had a hard time communicating, even to myself, so that I could see the things that need fixing much more clearly. She also hit the nail on the head about finding things that appeal to you in your recovery. Mine is art, crystals, tarot/ oracle cards, meditations, and dream work. This is all you, find what suits you. Always know, you're going to be just fine.

Happy channel-versary! I love that there’s another low woo-woo witch out there, I’m very similar. I tell people it’s less about my belief and more about how it makes me feel. I’m an Aries, I’m 35 and I’m about as far from a kitchen witch as is possible to be, I’m sure. I’m a decent everyday cook, but I don’t really enjoy it. I wish I did. No kids, have never lived anywhere but Australia. I do dream of living somewhere big green forests, one day.

I was raised in a strict religious cult. The journey to the person I am today has been EXTREMELY daunting. I can honestly say that I am a much happier person today. I'm so grateful I stumbled upon your page. I love your energy. I know you said you are a Capricorn but that is just the tip of the iceberg. If you would be interested. I would gladly do your whole chart. I tend to be kind of like you in the aspect of looking at things from a scientific and physiological point of view. I'm a nurse, death doula, cpr instructer, currently working on my certification in grief counseling and meditation. I have found knowing my whole chart and personality type beneficial in so many ways. I saw where you said you have been very ill as of late. Idk what you are dealing with but I myself have been battling severe illness most of my entire life such as cancer, autoimmune, and a slew of others. I know the toll that can have both in body and mind so if you need anyone to talk to that gets it. I'm only a message away. Tracie Taylor - I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the healer’s journey you have taken in life, and I really resonate with what you said about the toll that living with chronic and acute illness takes on us on multiple levels. I was in a profession where I worked with disabled and medically fragile children. After my own children were diagnosed with a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders and one with a life threatening bone marrow failure condition, who was then attacked, bullied and discriminated against by her teacher and principal, wellI developed a severe case of Chronic, complex PTSD, and could no longer function in my job. Hope that all makes sense to you. I’m still trying to work my way through the grief and back to wholeness. My witchcraft practice, videos like this one, and comments like yours help me to keep pursuing my own healing. And I think it was really nice of you to offer your support to the video maker. I'm 1981 August. Virgo. I analyse ( the health science part me) and am a perfectionist (the workaholic, arty-farty part of me). Hello lovely ☺️ My name is Elizabeth and I’ve been practicing for about two years now and I just really love your channel ❤ feels so homey and cozy which I love. I really like the psychological approach and that’s probably how I started, but I think now I’m more of a woowoo witch 😂 I live in the states but I want to travel the world someday and find somewhere else to call home. Nature drew me to witchcraft I would say in the beginning and then it grew from there but I’m still very nature-y. I do believe in the supernatural because I’ve experienced it so many times but I completely understand not believing in something without personal experience. That’s how my mind works. As always, love your video! Thank you for your great work ❤ You inspired me to take up kitchen and green witchcraft. Tomorrow I'll plant the seeds for my very first herb garden (I'll also plant some tomatoes and raspberries ☺) and I'm so excited! When I can, I do still enjoy working on my altar though, taking a couple hours to do ritual and spellwork, especially at holidays or full moon, but with a baby and toddler around it's not always feasible... If your father is a deacon, what does he think of your witchcraft practices?

i am an american that was born and raised irish catholic and still consider myself a christian with specific things that i leave out like the belief of only one true religion, pressuring others to convert, following everything in the bible(since it is manmade and can be tainted with personal agendas from the past), and the belief that one needs to go to church to be a "true" christian, all of those beliefs are not my own. I more accurately portray myself as a multiculturalist who believes that all religions have the ability to be true and have a theory that the afterlife realm is divided into separate sections based on belief systems and we can all visit each other and those that believe it reincarnation or returning to nature have the option to do so:) i love studying many cultures and religions and started dipping my toes into studying witch culture and am learning a lot from yours and other witchy youtubers starting with your "types of witches" video:) i personally love debunking stereotypes and finding how different beliefs can be incorporated into my own life while still learning more about my own culture/religious roots as well:) there was this one environmental biology class that taught me that if there is only one tree in a forest, an illness can wipe the whole forest out if it affects that type of tree, thus why biodiversity is so important. I like to compare the trees to religions/cultures(not saying we would die if only one religion/culture, but we wouldn't be as adaptable and open-minded which would be needed to evolve emotionally/socially/spiritually):) how i personally practice christianity is to pray to my god for the health and happiness for others when i can, praying when i hear police/fire truck/ambulance sirens, praying for as little suffering as possible in their last moments when i drive by roadkill, as well as walking in the beauty of nature that was created so lovingly, believing in a loving god, jesus, virgin mary, biblical stories like moses and joseph mostly for morality teachings, following thall shall not kill, covet neighbor's goods, steal, etc:) but i also like to see the similarities and differences other cultures bring to the table:) if i were to dip my toes into witchery, i would probably focus on a secular mixture of art witchcraft(i have always been a creative with my favorite creative art being music composition/singing), cottage witchcraft(have always had an interest in interior design and love being at home), cosmic witchcraft(i love how crazy accurate a lot of astrology(outside of magazines) when looked at up close can be and the beliefs and stories behind the stars and planets), green witchcraft(i have always been interested in protecting the environment and have recently started gardening in the last 2 years), sea witchcraft(my happy place will always be the beach, and i absolutely love swimming, feeling the waves with the sand between my toes, and the smell of the beach is my favorite smell ever), and possibly a bit of elemental(water lover) or kitchen witchcraft(i like baking when i am not lazy about it):) as for other facts about myself: -green eyes, brown wavy "baby fine" hair, 5'6'', curvy, caucasian, with oddly small hands, feet, and tongue(according to my sleep apnea surgeon, lol)XD -i have mostly german, irish, french, and scottish ancestry, but have little dabblings of more european countries like russia, hungary, italy, sweden, etc -leo sun, libra moon, gemini rising, born august 8th, 1989 at 1:34am in West Virginia:) -i have a bachelor's degree in international studies: east asia, but also recently graduated with an associate's degree in radiography and will soon be an x-ray tech:) i also started out studying interior design first before changing majors:) -i have been in choir, marching band(clarinet and trombone), strings orchestra(violin), and drama club in high school -i tend to be a visual/audio learner and like to play by ear rather than follow musical notation -i have traveled to japan 3 times and england once, and want to travel to many more countries in this lifetime:) my next goal is to visit thailandXD -i am happily single, and have been dating around casually for exploration purposes, but it doesn't stop me from entering crazy crush town at times, lolXD -favorite foods are chicken tenders, french fries, and okonomiyaki:) -favorite flowers are hydrangeas, phlox, lilacs, and tiger lilies -favorite colors are green and purple:) -favorite season is summer because of swimming and the beach, even if the mosquitos eat me aliveDX -fashion-wise i am a winter in tone, mostly love dressing in form-fitting stretchy comfortable clothes, mostly athleasure and short to medium flowy dressesXD -on that note, scrunchies and flipflops are my life, lolXD -have a fear of heights(except in planes or roller coasters for some reason, the worst of it was when i was on top of the empire state building, i wanted to crawl on my hands and knees sooo bad) -i get hyper when i am nervous, have a bit of social anxiety, but can perform on stage no problem(weird), open-minded, animated, happy-go-lucky, not afraid to dance in the streets when i walk, creative, animal lover, environmentalist, night owl, geek, and goofball:) -and can be quite wordy in text form as you can see, ehehehehehe.......(scuttles away now....)XD

First and foremost: I absolutely LOVE your sense of humor and how you communicate with your viewers! You do a much better and more honest job of expressing yourself than some KZbinrs I've seen who have been on the platform a lot longer than you. :-) Long video so long comment... I'm a solitary eclectic grey, and the label that I think fits best is that of Energy Witch. I think the best description of my personal spirituality is a cloud bounded (in no particular order) by Judaism, Buddhism, Paganism, a touch of Jedi, and (depending on day of the week & my mood) a bit of Agnosticism and/or Atheism. Although I'm not deeply into astrology, I'm an unfortunately good match for my sun sign (Pisces). I've always been interested in what most people would consider out of the ordinary and feel strongly that magick is basically just an issue of how we define the word -- and thus is very real. That said, I'm also a "science guy" and like you don't get too far into the "woo" aspects of witchcraft, nor do I work with deity. (On the other hand, I have to admit that if I could have evolved from a mixture of organic chemicals in a tide pool, then in a universe as vast and old as this one it's quite possible that something else also did so that's so much farther along the evolutionary scale that it would be perceived by us as a deity. I just haven't met one. Yet.) A little unusually for the majority of the witchy community, I'm a guy (so very cis hetero that it's probably boring). Also a little unusual is that I grew up in a family that allowed, even encouraged, building & following my own beliefs once I'd learned enough to make informed decisions... and since my father was a diplomat, I've also lived on three continents. (I would *love* to get back to Europe again.) Unfortunately for me, despite having done a bit of backpacking & hosteling, I'm old enough to have missed crossing paths with you... and I'm a bit jealous of all the places you've actually lived, rather than just visited. PS - After stating I'm a "science guy," for the sake of honesty I have to admit I've seen or sensed what I have to call ghosts on more than one occasion, and on some occasions it wasn't just me. To paraphrase Einstein, "It's all just energy." :-)

I just want to say that I am SO grateful that your channel exists and that I found it💚🌿 I am discovering my way through witchcraft and even though I follow many other channels that I also like and find informative, I always get the "gist" of things with your interpretations and find your approaches closest to my initial understanding of concepts and practices regarding witchcraft. Oh wow I feel a kindred spirit here. I too love to work for myself (I spent nearly 10 years in sex work and love love loved the freedom of the lifestyle.) I went back to school to study sign language interpreting (ugh I can't decide: time to get into that field or stay independent for a while longer?) .... I've always been a home body who loves cooking and solitude and nature, and I'm just recently taking up a serious study of herbalism.... We get four seasons where I live. I absolutely love autumn (who doesn't!), but my favorite time of year is cold, snowy winter: it's when I most enjoy my nature walks, and I love dark evenings, soups and stews, breads and wine and cocktails, books, candles, and time to self-study languages and other things... I was raised Lutheran, with a close family and big holidays that last for days, full of food and drink haha. I've always loved Christmastime and I still love my family traditions (I'm not religious now) but I'm slowly adding nature-based witchy traditions of my own to holidays throughout the year. Favorite pagan holiday ? Probably yule and samhain. I guess I always been attracted by magic, but I didn't know you could practice and being an agnostic/atheist (which is what I am). I really enjoy your weight loss tea blend. Btw, my arms are made of gelatin, and I'm failing miserably at losing weight as well. Le sigh. I got into paganism through a friend in middle school. Stopped because of an idiot in the military, and got back into it because i just couldn't shake the nagging urge to go back. I LOVE Samhain! And Mabon and Yule and Ostara😏. I too am a Cappie and when I was growing up the symbolism was of half goat half fish and since goats are Earth bound and fish are water ruled together I figured I was a “mud maiden” 😳 I knew I saw things a little different the first time I saw a rainbow in a drop of dew very early in the morning... so now I soon to be recycled and have more years behind me then ahead so I’m very pleased to have found you and can’t wait to hear more of your stories and pictures of those yummy men.... carry on my friend...😉😌

I am very interested in learning about witchcraft, and have been watching many KZbin videos on the topic. The more I learn, the more I realize that many, many activities/practices, are things I have been doing since I was a very little girl. I also recognize that many of the practices are similar to what I did in my catholic religion, except witchcraft seems so much more fun! However, I also noticed that since I have been studying about witchcraft and paranormal toics, I have been having a lot of fightening nightmares. Usually demonic in nature. I'm curious, has anyone else experienced this? What do you suppose it means?

It could just be you dealing with your subconscious fears that witchcraft is demonic, or confronting your shadow self. My Nana was from Ireland so our Catholic and Druid natures were syncretic, she was always telling us we were witches. There's similarities in Catholicism and Roman paganism, that might be were you're seeing similarities

There are similar traits among the sign placements & similar facial features too. It's fun & interesting. The most "witchy" and the most sexy of the holidays. Though, Litha is great too. As it's right around my birthday, and I love summertime! So, you may have guessed my zodiac sign. Lastly, I feel like I more realized that I am a witch, than became one. I think that's how it goes often for us. I was always into nature, oak trees, the stars and the Moon.
