Appreciate both these brothers ... but did anyone else notice how Francis either quoted Scripture or consulted the Bible with EVERY response he gave? He is DESPERATE for God, and I mean that in the best possible way. He's urgent, sincere, single-minded ... I know he's not perfect; I don't mean to exalt him, but he definitely inspires me to be violent in my pursuit of Him, childlike in my trust in and obedience to Him, and sincere in my love for Him and the brethren, and compassionate toward the lost.

Hes definitely a great spiritual example. Not to demean Christ in any way or take away what Christ is. But yes hes a good earthly example for Christians today. We see people like Steven Anderson and his following on youtube. And people think HE is a good example of who a christian should be. Yet the man lacks love. He slanders most of the time. Screaming. Ranting. Yes. Francis is a man of God. Absolutely and only men and women with true discernment will see this.

Ravi is of a different spirit than many of the self proclaimed apologists out there who have anointed themselves to be the holy heresy hunters doing God's "work" as of he needed the wisdom of man. This kind of answers are more effective to me because not that it just gives me the answer, it also makes me understand the implications of such answers in our current society with all its present theological, philosophical, etc views.

Lord help us to have discernment. Chan is a Calvinist. His belief...Only for the predestined from before time “the elect”. The non elect.predestined before time are damned to hell and torment and their is nothing they can do about it. God hates them. As Calvinist use this scripture for proof “Jacob I loved, Esau I hated”. Jesus did not die for the sin of the world so that whosoever believes will have everlasting life. He only died for “the elect” and the non elect whom God hates from before time be damned. This God does to show His Glory. Brothers and sisters use discernment when opening yourself up to these people (they are Calvinist). Let the Holy Spirit move in you and reveal the true love of God. Piper, Chan are great charismatic people. Look deeper. Christ died for all as He said He did. My God IS Love. Go and tell ALL people what Christ has done for them. God says I do not want any to perish. May the love of Christ Jesus be with you and in you

@@tess1544 I'm not sure you've read or even understand the Bible, Calvinist are one of the reformed tradition of Christianity, this goes along with 24 major religions, 41000 version of faith and 1000+ Gods/deities (Your Bible have 35 God/Deities, care to name a few?). So why are you attempting to condemn the faith and what evidence would you care to share that a make-believe supernatural deity "hates them? As for predestined" Only the Gospel of John has Jesus being with God at the beginning. Mark, he never say he is the Son of God, both Mathew and Luke have Jesus born of a virgin, but they make no mention that he existed before his birth and Mark not before the baptism as in Mark. How about Genesis Chapter 6 verses 1-3..."The sons of God looked up the daughters of men" In the English and Hebrew vernacular "sons" men more than one? If so then your God had more than one son and it get worse care to name Yahweh wife...she listed in the Bible and in Hebrew lore.

@Ardent Fan Please do not misquote the Bible. The verse you refer to is Matthew 5:37 (not Mark), and it refers to the taking of oaths rather than preaching or defending the faith. The long answer given by Ravi Zacharias is an attempt to "make a defense... for the hope that is in you... with gentleness and respect" (from 1 Peter 3:15). God bless.

Dr. Zacharias speaks world wide in the highest academic and prestigious government environments. He is extremely effective in these environments which consists of many many people who need to hear the word in his special way to communicate the gospel. Every one has their niche.

Ravi Zacharias left an indelible mark on my life. It was he and the RZIM ministry that gave me a heart for apologetics. I have been greatly blessed by his loving and patient demeanor that he employed when discoursing the truths of Scripture with all those around him, even if they were antagonistic. I will miss him til we get to heaven. My deepest condolences to his family, and may God bless the RZIM ministry. May it live on staying true to the call of God.

I can also bet if we talked long enough, I can find something you believe that may or may not be the truth (ie. A widely accepted theory or hypothesis). But when it come to Gospel truth, These are not false in their delivery of the gospel. The keep to Scripture, making them creditable teachers of Gods word. @@laurencrawford_wellness,....My basis for that claim is the Bible. If anyone has become born again, they understand the Bible. They can clearly see that conn artists like these two are frauds. The problem is the whole entire church body has been deceived into thinking they have become saved. They have not, they have been tricked. They have been told if you say this, think that, and admit to this, you are saved. That is saving yourself, and is a works gospel. We are/were all dead in our sins, and are not able to do anything to save ourselves. Accepting Jesus, asking him into our hearts, admitting we are sinners, and thinking we have repented, are all things a dead person can never do. But the church tells everyone that they can, because they are selling a works gospel that can never save anyone. Stay away from false pastors/teachers like these guys, and read the Bible yourself. Only God can open your eyes, and raise you from the dead. It is done through reading the Bible not by going to a fake church.

These are two of my heroes! Like the Body of Christ, their approaches and ministries differ. We need them both. I don’t understand how people can say horrible things about Pastor Francis! God tells us to test the spirits. We also can see a person’s spirit through the fruit they bear. Francis Chan is a god fearing man. He speaks the truth and is on fire for God! If there truly is something so horrible about him, I would like to see evidence- NOT just some people claiming that he is a false prophet without reason. If he is preaching the true word of God, he is not a false prophet.

Whenever I listen to Ravi, i need to CONCENTRATE AND FOCUS or else i get lost! I He is one of the Intellectuals like Hugh Ross, John Lennox, James White, John McArthur. I like the simplicity of Francis, easier to absorb 😂 no need to have philosophy background. I love seeing them together. The apologist Ravi and the passionate preacher Francis.
