I love hearing this wonderful gent talk about music! I had a uke back in high school that I’ve fooled around with intermittently over the years. Now at 40, I’ve gotten more serious about it and have a few good instruments and a gig or two in the offing. Possibly my best night out in the past decade when the Orchestra came to Melbourne, FL a few years back at the King Center. Hope you come back over the pond when the world is safe again.

Love the Ukulele Orchestra! I have had the pleasure of seeing them in person twice. Incredible musicians!

George, thank you!! Seen you all in Melbourne twice, hoping for a third and more whenever it happens. Could you do more on the UOGB history and how you came to be so good at arranging the music?

A fascinating insight into a group of muscians that I just love listening to. Of all the people thay I have intrduced to the UOOGB only one has not liked your musical interpretations. No longer in my circle!! Obviously a Philistine. Perhaps one day in Western France?

more russian songs! the lamp post song is mesmerizing.
@Goatman3333 жыл бұрын
Seconded...'Lenin on the Lamp post' is just brilliant . The uke can sound very like a balalaika in the right hands. Given George's take that the original should be a cliché that allows the UOGB magic some scope - how about that most Slavic of soul songs ' Ochi Chorniye' aka 'Dark Eyes' ? Covered by everyone from Chet Atkins,Louis Armstrong and Kenny Ball to Ivan Rebroff ? ( just my two kopek's worth, I'll fetch my coat :-) ) kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5bFZ2iZd755hpY
