Wow, such a great video from Greg. Straight talk, no fancy accessories or equipment, just a camera he knows and loves plus a couple of lenses and an iPhone, working with his subject to co-create and boom, achieved an overnight success (that took him around 45 years of perfecting his craft). Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us I such a simple and unpretentious way Greg, really enjoyed this video!

This was amazing to watch. Thank you Greg for everything you do. I've been doing photography a whopping week now (brand new) - and thanks to your course and videos like this, I feel I already have much of the foundation to head in the right direction 🙏Your videos take subjects that most others make VERY complicated, and make them VERY easy for anyone to understand and apply. Much thanks

WOW ! What a guy ! Go Greg for staying true to the ART & not getting lost. Brilliant.

Nice to see that you are commited to 28mm and q3. Lot of your photos are BW, I wonder what are your thoughts of Leica monochrome series? I use q2 mono every day for last year for BTS shots on corporate photo/video sessions, and materials are very well accepted. Im thinking of second M monochrome body with 50 or 75mm. Your explanation on distance for portraits and full body is very helpfull. Speed for me is crucial, since Im doing classic colour headshots at the same time. Thank you for great tips and content!!

Bravo Greg! Your work is beautiful and I’ve got to say - your G GRIP is by far the best camera accessory for an iPhone. I’ve tried many of the others and they don’t even come close to the G Grip!

Such a honor, Greg on KZbin! I notice couple of people ask about the focusing method he uses, and since he said 1.7-2 meters, I’ll assume he’s manually set up focus. But still is going to be very helpful if this question is answered by Greg. Also common guys, should the video on the SL 2, not on Greg’s daughter iPhone 12 🤭!

the Godox Junior is a good alternative to the FUJI EF-X20. Uses the same two AAA batteries. And it does have a simple Auto mode - if you fix your Aperture and Iso to F2.8 IS0100 (or its equivalent exposure - i.e. Iso400 at F5.6)

LOVE your Book, and in fact ordered another copy for my photographer son. You talk about a "tiny" Fuji Flash. The only one I know of, the EF-X8, does not fire on my Leica Q3, or Q2. Kindly tell us which flash works? Thanks ... learned a Lot from your book! I tend to always shoot wide open with my Q's ... good to learn that you DON'T! :-)

Great video, thank you very much! Unfortunately my question didn’t make it. Maybe here in the comment section. I own a Q3 myself, and would be really interested in which focus mode you’re using for your pictures and shootings. Saying a leica is the best camera is a wild take. Maybe in the film days they were. And I'll give that the lenses are insanely good, but the bodies are not the best
@raksh911 ай бұрын
I'm not saying that a Leica is the best camera, but have you ever tried a SL2 or SL2S with one of the APO primes? The image quality is so crisp and clean, it is unreal. They also handle extremely well, with buttons in the right places and a grip that feels secure and comfortable, despite the weight.

@creativemofoo11 ай бұрын
I beg to differ about the iPhone being better than any other camera in the price range. iPhones are like $1500, you can literally buy a super good setup for a REAL camera at that price. I'm actually appalled that you would even say something like that. Phone have no depth of field, no swapable lenses, and the zoom is all digital. You, in all your condescending glory, have steered people completely wrong with that comment. Imagine if you will, trying to explain to somebody how to properly frame a photo when they're used to framing in a device that makes everything sharp foreground and background. You might as well have said that people should get a GoPro instead of a real camera. This advice is laughable at best.

Ggrip is great. I take a lot of photos when out with the dogs. 2 leashes in one hand, iPhone in the other. So much easier with the ggrip attachment. Excellent design. @gooddogsnyc
