I had the honor of backing up Jim on drums and vocals. "Jim Yester and The YesterDaze" can be viewed on KZbin. Quite the gentleman.

Loved the Association. As a 72 year old they were my favorite band in an era of great bands. Jim Yester was terrific and their music to me was great from their 1st Album to their last. God Bless him and that great band.

Such fun to see this great interview with Jim. I love the stories. It's fun to look back over the past and remember the good times, which The Association was in my memories. Thanks for the fantastic music. Good to hear you grew up in Beautiful Burbank (according to Laugh in).

The Association's "Windy" was the perfect 1967 Summer Of Love hit. Breezy and trippy sunshine pop.

Jim is from my home state Alabama. Always a vital member of the association and was there for their formation in the mid 60s . He currently lives in Southern New Jersey.

I always wondered why he didn’t go out on his own. He had the sound and look to make it.

Can't figure out why The Association isn't in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame when there are so many lesser bands in there.

Was it your manager who turned down Webb's "MacArthur Park"??man..imagine how great that would have sounded with all your harmonies?? Didn't care for Richard Harris at ALL But the number is great!!!

Love the Association! Jim Yester is a humble, down to earth guy. The interviewer, however, is awful

Agree, can’t believe a DJ doesn’t know boogie woogie is pre-rock n’ roll. Jim the legend tolerated him well however.

Joe Johnson is the Dick Clark of Florida he knows nothing about the history of the music he plays. Did no research on asking the right questions to Jim Yester. Why do this old dinosaur radio voice you are not on radio LOL

The last sentence was trollishly cruel. But the first 2 sentences are how I felt. Cringe interview with an unprepared and egotistical host.
