Here's a quick story about me and DHD: about 8 years ago I custom order 2 DHD SB. I always knew they were the best two boards that I have ever had. I had tons of shortboards over the years - some of them amazing and some complete crap, but something about the connection with the lip always felt magical with these DHDs, like they have some sort of fazaz when blowing the tail, or when carving off the lip, that no other board of mine ever had. It all makes sense now: they were done during the Australian summer. I can't believe I had no clue what so ever about that, I'm so glad about this video Jesus Christ this is so exciting and makes so much sense... I am so much moved by this, every real surfer reading this would understand. This magic that we are addicted too, it's our obsession. Ain't no way I'm not gonna order my next boards in the Oz summer, and you bet your ass it's gonna be an Australian DHD. I can never forget going to the factory in Burleigh and picking them up, may I return there asap, amen

Thx for sharing this and making this show. Timmy is the man and like he kind of mentioned how shapers don’t get the shine they deserve always down in the alley covered in dust 😆. All these shapers are crazy talented and true artist / craftsmen 🤙🏾✌🏾

When these used to be on KZbin in full series I think the winning board had a bigger impact on the shaper than the series does now - because it’s behind the pay wall

Always thought Kolohe should be on a swallow tail once in a while. Jordy won lowers on a swallow tail one year (2016?).

Hey Stab, premium user here. It's been a week since the episode was released. No shaper's reaction to the win, no email or post on stab premium about this Q/A video. Pretty dissapointing.

"How much effort do you put into shaping a board for stab in the dark vs for the WSL final 5?" might be one of the weirdest questions ever. What do you expect them to say? Interviewer was kinda rude has no charisma lol

What a terrible thing to say from DHD "you're not making enough boards LOL".

How unprofessional board builders are. They know that climate has an impact on quality of boards, but instead of then climatizing their workshops to optimal temperatures, they just do nothing and accept this inferior outcome, crazy. No wonder companies like Cobra in Thailand run by real ingeneurs produce superior quality, that ignorance is baffeling.
