We found the marriage resource very beneficial in our relationship as we got to know each other on a deeper level. We didn’t use the scoring system and some of the true/false questions we found were not quite as direct for us as yes or no but the questions were super helpful in developing deeper conversations. The work pages really benefited us in getting to know each other’s opinions and it also aided us in learning more about our own expectations and perceptions as we prepared for marriage.

After 3 sons, our marriage ended but my second honey, who I met and married at 54, has been the man who has helped both of us to find the Lord. 11:00. As of April 1st 2024, I made a commitment to read the Bible cover to cover. In the past, I have read thousands of passages, but I never read EVERY line from the very beginning. I am near the end of Exodus right now. I read 2 chapters a day (and take notes). I find it fascinating & rewarding to read it as an adult. I know that it will take me a few years to read the whole Bible at a 2 chapter pace a day, but I want to understand what I am reading & contemplate on the verses.

My husband and I went to Mackinac Island for our honeymoon! Going inside the Grand Hotel is a must! If you can afford it, have lunch at the hotel! My favorite honeymoon memory!

I 💯 agree. A Must is touring the Grand Hotel, inside and out. The lunch is a throwback in time. Sitting in the porch. Looking at the gardens. Seeing the churches and reading about how they were established. The native Americans, especially the Ojibwa, you will experience this in the city. I can't wait to hear what you 2 did and everything about it.

Mackinac Island is amazing! No cars, tons of walking, absolutely beautiful! I’m from NV, but have had the opportunity to visit twice while our daughter’s college golf team played in Michigan. I would love to go back! Oh, and the ferry was awesome too! If you do not want to get wet, do not sit up top!

We serve a Bold God, so I am going to pray a Bold prayer! Heavenly Father, I lift up Michael and Brandon to You. I pray You bless them with becoming pregnant with twins, I pray for no complications, no morning sickness, no ordered bed rest, no stretch marks etc, I pray for a no complications delivery. There is nothing You can’t do our King and our God! I pray Genesis 18:14 over Michael and Brandon. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen!

😄the clothes hanger comment was funny to me. I think it’s a Bates thing for that to be weird. Brandon leaving the empty hanger in the closet is normal to me. It’s there waiting for that item of clothing to be rehung when it’s ready to go back in the closet.

I take the hangers out of the closet when I pull clothes out. I put them in a box, or hang them on a rod I have. So much easier.

We lived in Muskegon, Michigan for two years- been to Mackinac Island for the bridge walk. The ferry ride is fun as long as the lake is not too choppy. Fudge shop for double chocolate fudge ( no returns on fudge 🤣) 20,000+ steps around the island. Carriage rides and sitting in the Adirondack chairs across from the Grand Hotel stargazing - Kilwins butter pecan in a waffle cone ❤

I like to do my devotions early in the morning and sit outside with a cold drink either coffee or diet Dr Pepper but I love the Lord and I love that you all both are so compatible that was the same situation when me and my boyfriend, which was my husband did the same thingwe did the five we were compatible. It’s just an amazing thing how God answered our prayers and just to him as a right choice.

Summer time in Michigan is nice, I would suggest going to Tahquamenon Falls in the UP if you have never been there, it is so pretty.

We ended up adopting, but at the age of 65, I still feel that "pang"when I see a pregnant woman! Anyway, is that a guest bedroom that you are taping in? Yes! We speak to God in prayer. He speaks to us is through His Word.

You know what? I don't just "pray" to God. I literally talk to Him, out loud sometimes! I'll just chat with Him, because He's my best friend. If I'm watering the flowers, I'll thank Him for the pretty weather or my beautiful surroundings. If I'm frustrated, I'll tell Him all about it! I've even argued with Him about things that I didn't agree with! He can take it. He can handle my human side because He created me. He understands me better than anyone else ever could. So, my Father is my friend. He can be yours too! Don't worry about learning how to pray or things like that... it will come together. But please, if you're looking for Him, he's already with you! He's just waiting to talk to you, and He wants to be your best friend too. Just a simple "hey God, how are you? I'm having a hard time" is all you need to do. Tell Him about it! He'll listen, every time. Just remember that you need to listen too. And as you start talking to Him, you'll start feeling Him. You'll find a peace and love you've never known. And as you're doing this, look for a church, read some scripture, let His word lead you. But all it takes to get it started, is a simple hello. Don't be afraid. It isn't hard at all. And it's the best thing you'll ever do. Ever. I send you all my love, in Him ❤

@patricaowens oh, you have blessed me with this! It is easy! That's what I wanted to explain. It's as easy as just talking. It isn't always easy to be "a Christian", because we're called to follow God's word. As humans, we find it hard to turn the other cheek, be slow to wrath, and things like that, but being with our best friend makes it all worth the effort. I love God and He loves me. I only want everyone else to have that for themselves

Very recognisable! I do the same during the day. I just talk or thank God or tell Him what is worrying me. It feels as described in James 4:8: Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you. 🙏🏻

Interesting. My husband is from SW Texas. Big Bend Nat park, he was a wildlife biologist. Now retired we live just off the Blueridge Parkway in SW Va. there is beauty in the desert for sure. I found myself irritated by Mt Rushmore. It seemed as though the US just said up yours to the Natives and made a place looking over their lands where they must see and it’s hard to avoid. I was surprised by my reaction. I’m a retired trauma RN . I was lucky that my field became more divided similar to Drs and I was Trauma trained after working in Neuro Core. Floor nursing strokes, paralysis, post surgery etc. then I went to ER thus specializing in Trama care. Love to you both. I often pray for you and your family.

Mackinaw Island is so magical. My grandparents house is in Mackinaw City which we still have & brings so many good memories in the summer like u have with ur grandparents Michaela. We lived in California & would visit my grandparents in Mackinaw City every other summer & we drove never did we fly. I remember stopping & seeing Mt Rushmore on my way as a kid. Hope u have an amazing visit to the Island. 🌉

I too am praying God blesses you both with a baby. I have prayed for years for pregnant parents, those who want to have babies. I have seen at least 3 ladies have a baby who had multiple miscarriages or couldn’t get pregnant. A couple that has been trying foe a bay for 9 years… just had their miracle baby a few days ago. Your love for the Lord… 1st and then one another is what impresses me the most. You both are humble, not seeking self glory or attention. You both aren’t “into” yourselves like most u tube couples I have seen. Genuine and sincere. Your answers to the questions were to the point without going on and on about yourselves. Seems like some couples relish in having fans and being idolized. Personally, I don’t care about all the glitz and glamour of some couples try to portray. Us ordinary people can’t live those kind of lives. And, in light of eternity what will it matter? Matthew 6:33. Just keep being yourselves! On my Monday prayer list for prayers for a baby. God can MAKE A WAY… WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE…. NO WAY!!🙏

Kelly Jo, and Gil, did a fabulous job raising all of you. Michaela, I just wanted to share with you about my friends, granddaughter. She got pregnant once, and had a miscarriage. She had not been able to conceive after that. After visiting doctors, and going through all the motions without success. She finally went to a specialist, and he told her she just needed to take Metformin, and she will get pregnant. She thought that was strange because she wasn’t diabetic. She tried it anyway. She did get pregnant, and just had a beautiful, healthy, baby girl. I just thought I would share incase you wanted to ask your doctor about it, or possibly do some research on it. I apologize if it upsets you when people ask, or suggest something. I couldn’t get pregnant, and sometimes I had just wished that when people saw me they didn’t usually ask if I was pregnant, or going to get pregnant. God bless you both. Warm hugs & love sent. 💖

I live in Michigan and a few places to go is Pictured Rocks, Sleeping bear dunes, Tahquamenon falls, and Sault Ste. Marie....There is so much to do in the summer and fall time. Hope you have a good time

Mackinac Island tips…rent a bike to drive around part or all of the island. It was a favorite when we went and wished we had rent it longer. We have been a couple times and really enjoyed it.

Mackinaw Island is wonderful! Rent or take a bike. Bike around the Island. The stores are fun, but the trails, beaches, and gardens are so much more amazing. Watch fudge being made, and if you want a great breakfast, chuckwagon is worth the wait.
