Regarding the 10/10 vs masterpiece question, here's my take 10/10 - personal preference Masterpiece - A fragrance that either; - is universally loved in frag comm or is -a fragrance that starts/defines a genre/style of scent > e.g. Mugler A* Men (popularized gourmand for men), Creed Aventus (popularized niche), Chanel Bleu de chanel (started the blue fragrance craze)

Yoooo, this is Jackaroo the fragrance guru. Not a bad response to my question, and thankyou for answering. I believe the answer to this question is a fragrance that has been so revolutionary to the fragrance game and has paved the way for many fragrances after it. For example, creed aventus. It was so good when it first came out, seen as the next big thing. There were so many dupes and inspirations of creed aventus that wouldn’t exist today if Aventus was never released. Nishane Hacivat wouldn’t exist, CDNIM, montblanc explorer etc. Another example would be Kilian angels share, Dior homme intense, even Paco Robanne invictus even tho it’s not a 10/10 smell, but it’s paved the way for many more great fragrances.
