Again, very much in agreement when it comes to standing out. I was the only disabled person at my “regular” school for the first few years and loved it. I had two names that were completely different to anyone in my huge school - and no one could spell or pronounce either at the time.. I loved telling the tale of how I got my name. And I may, or may not *cough* 😉 have been the type to wear what some would consider to be rather offensive band shirts as a teen, just to give strangers who liked to be weird about the chair something else to be outraged/shocked/dumbfounded by

Completely agree about living apart from a partner. For me it makes the time you spend together more… precious? I don’t know if that’s the right word.. but for me at least it certainly keeps us from taking time together for granted. Plus, I’m a ridiculously independent person and have no desire to give that up
