Hi friends!
It's been a while crocodile! Sorry I haven't been uploading guys I prepared some stuff for the incoming medical school year. Moving on, since I came from a Psych family (my sister is a psychometrician while my mom is a Psychologist, my lola also graduated in Psychology) I thought why not introduce them to you guys para naman mas maintindihan niyo talaga, ano ba yung ginagawa ng isang Psychometrician.
My sister also graduated BS Psychology in UST and is now studying graduate school to pursue her Masters at the Harvard Extension School.

Hi Yj! yes usually in-demand ang psychology sa ibang bansa kasi may importance at emphasis sila dun ng mental health, kaya Malaki din pay kasi per hour bayad. If hindi board passer and licensed psychologist madami pa naman options lalo na for HR or Human Resources here and abroad (private companies, bank, insurance etc.). Salary ranges sa Phil depends sa company pero starting is 12-20k tas average per month is 30-40k pataas if di na starting :)

Hi. Kakawatch ko lang din nitong vid now. Hehe if HUMSS yes pwedeng pwede BS Psych. If you want to become a psychologist, like what they said sa video, BS Psych is the right course. And then there’s the option na mag psychometrician board exams ka. Pero if you want to become a psychologist, tulad ng sabi nila, need mo mag tapos din ng Masters (MA/MS) in Psychology bago ka makapag take ulit ng board exams for Psychologist. College (BS Psy) 4yrs Grad school (MA/MS Psych) 3yrs Hope this helps. Kakainspire yung nag Harvard pa siya. 💪🏻

Hello! Currently studying BS Psychology at Xavier University and my advice to you since you chose the HUMMS strand it is preferable to pick AB psychology since the HUMMS strand only has general math and sciences subjects and BS Psychology has advanced math and science subjects. If you wish to pursue BS Psychology, especially in big universities you might be forced to take senior high subjects in STEM such as chemistry, Biology, and statistics that are are pre-requist minor math and sciences subjects in BS Psychology. So it is advisable for HUMMS strand students to choose AB Psychology.

Hello po to answer the question po, as much as i know there are school who offers units in education sa Psych na pwede kang mag take ng LET after college. With regards nmn po sa professor in college you can do/take masters and apply as an instructor po sa Univ of your choice. May Univs din po kase na natanggap ng College instructor basta ongoing sa masters or may masters degree. Sana po naka help! ♥️

I'm currently a 4th year psychology student. I would like to ask for some opinion po. We are done with our clinical internship last July but, we don't really had an experience administering tests to the clients because we only conducted SLEs and some therapy sessions. My concern po is should I apply as an intern after graduating so I could gain experience? Because I want to train myself and know more about administering tests. Or should I just review, take the board exam after graduating and just gain an experience when I am already working as a psychometrician?

Hi Kimberly! most psych students here tend to follow the usual take the boards first then apply already as a psychometrician to save time. I feel like you would be able to learn more and gain exposure once you also have a psychometrician license already as well. In clinics and companies they also orient you first before diving into administering tests. however, You could also opt to wait and gain experience kaso baka tumagal yung time in between the gap and graduating so they recommend taking the boards asap para di mawala momentum and knowledge of the courses. Pero if you really feel youre not confident enough yet with it ok lang naman mag gap year to gain exposure/work experience before taking the boards. Wishing u the best!!

Hello, Ate. It's me again. May question lang po sana ako. Incoming G11 ako this year and I'm stuck between HUMSS or STEM. I mean, yung Psych is pwede naman po siya sa dalawa. Pero since BS po kukunin ko sa college, mas advantage raw ho yung STEM. Pero yung gusto ko talaga is HUMSS since andun yung skills/strengths ko. Pero ayun hahaha di po talaga yan yung point ko skl naman po. Ang concern ko po ay yung about sa entrance exam pag college specifically sa UST, sabi raw po nila may advantage po talaga mga STEM students pag entrance ex, usually daw po kasi yung mga questions is abt sa mga na-tackled na ng mga STEM studs. Nagwoworry po ako na baka pag HUMSS tinake ko tapos pag nag entrance exam sa college e about lahat sa STEM yung questions (like mostly walang ideya sa mga questions na ibinigay.) Pwede rin naman po siguro mag self study pero iba pa rin siguro pag nag STEM ka talaga. Ayun lang, kabado rin ako sa sinasabi nila abt STEM na kesyo mahirap. So yun nga po, nung kayo po nag entrance exam sa UST, ano po usually mga questions nila at paano ka ho nakapasa? balak ko rin sana mag UST sa college. hi! i’m not the one u asked pero yes Psych is pwede for HUMSS or STEM. Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology is best if HUMSS ka kasi great for prelaw and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology is best if STEM kasi pwede premed kasi may natural science units. regarding the entrance exams, i am a graduating STEM student from a public HS and yes may advantages talaga if STEM pero this factor must not hinder you from choosing your wanted strand kasi magsstudy ka naman e. tapos sa entrance exams, general coverage madalas tapos english, science, and math kadalasang laman ng entrance tests. i did not take the USTET (no USTAR for us this year) pero i hope you find this helpful.

Hello @byEbitch 💕 hmmm sa UST kasi yung entrance before tawag USTET tas basically coverage niya naman lahat, my sciences, math and humms subjects so bale lahat ng topics sa HS yung coverage. Di naman mas madami sciences kasi equal yung hati niya sa topics. Yung nangyare kasi ngayon with the pandemic, USTAR na yung gamit (rating scale ng UST) so sa grading system nila, malaking factor ang grades sa SHS alam ko. So depending on your standing sa shs yung admissions mostly ngayon sa UST, quota course din kasi yung psychology sa ust so if napuno na yung slots magsasara na sila. So need talaga mameet mo standards and requirements nila. (Okay din alam ko if malakas recommendation letter). So ayun lang, regardless of humms or stem basta mataas yung grades mo and pasok sa criteria dun sa Rating scale ng ust para makapasok sa UST BS Psych :)

Job opportunities right after boards is being a psychometrician na so mostly saan need services mo like clinics/companies, while assisting psychologists. Yes di pa need ng masterals nun. Madalas din right after college nagwowowrk na kahit di nagboboards :)

Hi po, Tourism grad here. Yes po kht anong course actually pwede mag FA basta nag undergo ka ng specialized training or qualified ka sa criteria nung airline. Usually ganun po. Even nursing grads kc advantage din un since they know how to respond sa emergencies and preparedness. Share ko lang.

hi, I am a BS Psychology Major and first batch of K-12. I highly recommend taking STEM if BS psych kukunin mo lalo na at Pre Med siya. Taking HUMSS will give you extra subjects sa College na tinatawag nilang bridging ^^ Hindi rin pakapalan ng mukha sa psych, it's establiahing connection with other people and understanding them more ^^ I am the quiet typ, shy and all. So taking this course is a risk but here I am, changed perspective still, di pa rin makapal mukha, lols. Good luck on ur journey tho'

Hi Ate Bea! I will take abm this coming sy, nag aalangan po kase ako kung bsa or bs psych po yung pipiliin ko. If ever po ba na bs psych yung pipiliin ko makakapasok po ba kaya ako kahit abm strand ko? & sa ust ko din po gusto itake yung bs psych if ever. And nainform po ako na madaming science sa bs psych, my weakness po nung jhs pero tingin ko po depende sa prof yung teaching styles po nila so kinakabahan po ako mag bs psych kase andon po yung weakness sub ko. Pwede din po ba mag req ng vids abt sa job offers with possible salaries yung range lang po if okay lang po hehe. Sobrang encouraging po ng vids nyo kaya naeexcite ako pag mag bs psych ako, thank you po!!!

Hi Denise!! yes usually naman may mga ABM strand na nakakapasok pero I suggest siguro dapat mataas or above average yung grades kasi alam ko quota course yung UST and around 600-800 students lang slots. Yes madaming science sa BS psych but science was never my forte din nung HS, pero I can assure you, basta mag Aral ka kaya naman siya. Di naman need genius dito hehe. Sige sige try ko!! Hope matuloy ka sa BS Psych :)
