香港海防博物館是本地唯一以軍事為主題的博物館，由舊鯉魚門炮台改建而成，座落於鯉魚門海峽的岬角上。博物館現已完成大型更新工程並重新開放，予公眾免費入場參觀。更新後的博物館為常設展覽及史蹟徑注入了更多多媒體元素，以新穎的演繹手法和主題形式，訴說獨特的香港海防故事。
Converted from the old Lyemun Fort, the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence is the city's only military museum. It locates on a headland overlooking Lyemun Pass. The Museum reopens to the public after a major revamp. Multimedia elements, innovative presentation methods and a thematic approach are injected in the revamped permanent exhibition and the historical trail of the museum to narrate the unique story of Hong Kong's coastal defense.
