I was a Vietnamese refugee in Hong Kong 1979. Many of my friends told me to see this movie just for the music. Although I could only understand half of the content of the movie because of language barrier, but this song is still haunting me even after 30 years.

I love this movie lot. At that time I was a secondary school student. I remember the refugees crisis and I had great sympathy on the Vietnamese refugees. They had no choice but to flee their homeland.

那些年啊！那些年啊！ 還記得當年電影歡顏在香港報章大幅度宣傳，全頁刊登胡慧中大頭劇照 並以靈氣逼人來形容她， 確實在全香港引起不少轟動啊！我們這些在校的小女孩在午飯或小休時間就拿她和林青霞照片興高彩烈地作比較…當年我的確深深感受到胡慧中不單美麗，而且極其聰慧，混身上下還散發出一種攝人心魄的迷人氣質…對我來說，胡慧中三個字就是靈氣逼人的代名詞，直到今天都再找不到有另一個人比胡慧中更能演譯什麼是靈氣逼人了!
