I'm about 20mins in. I got this from my Mandarin teacher. I'm East African learning Mandarin. There's a weekly exam on this movie early morning... I had 2 days to study + watch it, but I'm just starting today lol. Had work till late. At least I have 8 hrs to go. No doubt I must pass the exam..Our coach has put in so much into us. I'm Chinese and I watched this movie with my sisters when I was around 11 years old. I'm now revisiting it because it's been on my mind lately. I don't remember it being so bad though. Now that I'm 18, I realized how unnatural the voiceover and acting is. In my memory, I recalled that Yu Shuai said something along the lines "it will be a pity if such as nice body goes to waste" and proceeds to have intercourse with the body that fell off the cliff at 1:20:28. I literally thought he was reaching for her collar to unbutton and undress her. That plotline would've been way darker if that was the case.
