These talks you do with lads like this should be shown in schools, I think it would have a very positive affect, and make allot thinking of doing a crime think again. Where I come from allot of young lads see these places as a badge of honour. Until faced with the reality of it first hand that is, but they don't tell the young ones growing up what it's actually like, no one wants to look weak. You should contact a couple of schools and show the governor's test it out, after all the worst they can say is no. You might just save a lot of youngsters and there families a lifetime of sorrow.

@Alibi Trafalgar yes in some cases you are probably right, but I have lived in some very rough areas and i've personally know a lot of young people, some more easily led than others, who have followed the wrong people and turned out bad and ended up in these places also. Likewise i've known some little arseholes who truly deserve to be in these places. I grew up with some, who have now have spent most of there adult life in and out of prison. What I put was just an idea, it won't stop all, or even injustices of the judicial system, but the ones in the middle, if it helps just a few I think it might be worth it. But all this is just my personal thoughts on the subject.

The behaviour of these prison guards is disgusting. If I were a guard, I would think about the rehabilitation side of it. Treat all other humans how you would be expected to be treated yourself. How is torturing prisoners going to improve their behaviour for release from prison. This has really made me think different towards these public service personnel. They should all be given the sack and replaced with more competent staff.

They also investigated over 700 suicides in a two-yearperiod at the prison and found that they were given overdoses of Haldol which swells your neck and a suicide note was sent home. Prison is not about reform. It's an industry. Most prisons in America are becoming privatized, which means making money to pay the shareholders. I'd assume most other countries are somewhat similar. There's no money in reform, only in constant incarceration. The idiotic laws here contribute to that. Like dude said up there, "it's a game to them".
@johnnewton29495 жыл бұрын
The punishment for a crime that carries a sentence of imprisonment is loss of liberty, not torture and death. That is in the statutes of the UK, a supposedly civilised nation. I hear a lot of people in this country saying they're ok with what happens to people in prison, that they're getting what they deserve, in fact that they're getting off lightly and that they should bring back the death penalty. I can only hope that these people represent a small minority of the population, because they must be of limited intellect with no imagination or at worse psychopaths with no ability to empathise with other human beings. Imagine yourself being locked in a small room for two days, having no control over when you eat or what you eat; no control over when you can shower; no control over when you sleep: no control over when you have to get up; no control over when you can get out of that room to get fresh air and exercise; having no control over what you can read or watch or otherwise entertain yourself and having no control over when you can see your family or friends. Now extend those two days to weeks, months, years, decades or a lifetime. For me that's punishment enough.
@johnnewton29495 жыл бұрын
@@thepoliticalfederationofeq1216 Thank you for that, it was important and everybody in this country should be aware of it. I'm torn between tears of empathy for that young man and tears of rage against the system that lets this happen time and time again. I can only hope that curiosity gets the better of her and she watches it and I can only hope that it disturbs her as much as it has disturbed me. I doubt it though. Just another shit politician in a shit system.

Yes betting is big part of the jail system. Forget any real medical care. I nursed in one, was a false prisioner many times, and I have a degree in Penology. The study of the history of prisions to present. Those that ever had a loved one in jail knows the evils there and all prisioners are treated badly everywhere. with all the $ spent on locking human beings up I always wondered why they pay C.O. shit. Its probably done for a reason. Low pay keeps the best applicants away because only less desirable applicants pursue these types of jobs. many times anti social personnel desire these pisitions because they can get paid for being sadistic and not get in trouble with the law. Prison is a scam. When will somebody speak out. Its the 2nd largest industry in America behind the Dept of Defense. $ is power and convicts are thought of as less then human. The TRUE criminals are the ones profiting from licking up all these parents with psychological problems with violent C.O.s and sick psycho predators who actually belong there. they force non violent people who made a bad choice into adapting in order to survive.
