Q50 starlight headliner

Quick video showing you guys my q50 with a starlight headliner down below is a list of the materials I used to make it happen.As for the sun visors just type in "q60 black sun visor " on eBay to find them, same goes for the dome light/ center console. You can always try www.car-part.com
that is how I find used oem parts from anywhere in the county. Only downside is you will have to call and give info over the phone most of the time.

Yeah but on my previous cars i never used the sunroof either way. And i rather have the lights than a big empty square while there is lights everywhere else.

that dome light is from a q60 ? i cant find any in black for the q50 only for the q60. they look like the same exact size but are the connectors the same ?

Depends on the trim for the connectors but yes q60 dome light, sometimes they are called upper center console

Appreciate and one more question, how did you do the shade for the sun roof ? Did you just wrap it like the headliner and just jammed the fabric behind the handle ?

Definitely the hardest out of all the pieces, mainly due to the size but if you did the trim already just take your time and it should be fine!

1:53 I’m a bit confused about what you meant by swapping the guts, so the q60 you got it from didn’t have the bose thing but your q50 did? So you have to swap the guts from the q50 into the black q60 one?

Yeah just two or four small screws holding in the bose speakers on mine and replaced it on the q60 one

Its just tapped to a fuse in the trunk above the hybrid battery

Definitely not something you can do by yourself in a weekend, i think that if i really dedicated my time to it i could of done everything probably around 5-7 days

I got the bluetooth models and they work individually they just share the same power

@@balesha85 nope you should be good just use a 10a fuse its led lights so they draw very little current

Hey i put the module in the same spot you did but for some reason the box itself is sparking when it touches the suspension studs. I think it shorted and fried the projector too

The box itself shouldnt short itself out like unless theres an issue with wiring. Sounds like something was wrong with the box

phoenix automotive mark 3 screen its held up pretty well, looks really good in my opinion. I only really use it with apple car play. One thing about it is that i had to download a EQ app to fix the audio that came from it sounded terrible before that. Other than that no complaints. You can hook up obd 2 scanner and check codes and other stuff. I would buy it again

They shouldn’t be tied in to the dome lights. Maybe they forgot to plug the harness in putting the headliner back in the car
