I've researched a few job sites that post the median and average QA salaries in the US, and it seems to be around $90k at the moment, which is about right. That's the typical offer from most decent companies for a QA with some experience. However, there are also many vacancies offering around $75k or even $65k. I don't believe these are just 10% of the cases; it seems more widespread. For $60k or 70K, which is about $3,500 to $4,000 after tax, survival is challenging in half of the states in this country (maybe even in most of the states now) How can one manage on such a salary? What are these companies thinking, offering such a low wage? Where is the American Dream I!!! Live in a shared apartment? Even $90k, which amounts roughly to about $5k after tax, is not really enough anymore with the prices we have right now.

I think low ball offers are from 3d party agencies, where recruiters take part of your salary. I would stay away from those offers unless there are no other options.

I do QA for a huge international well known corporation. My salary is very low at $65K I took the job out of desperation at the time and it was full remote. Luckily the work isn't too difficult but I am certainly looking for something else.

In USA you don't really need ISTQB, any boot camp or work experience is enough.

@@alexusadays Is like theres alot of Junior positions, but they are asking some proven experiences, I used crowdtest so I could fill this gap, Also alot of people applying but I believe they are more like bots or people that are not using the right words... So I had basically 4 interviews for internships and junior positions in last month

it depends, what bootcamp and where you at, there are also some other factors. Will you have internship, are you doing already some freelance qa with utest, etc.
