Why are we so hung up on which language they use? Especially as long as you understand what they're saying. But beside that annoying point, you are 100% right. I wish more people would realise that the feminist movement is lying about being happy as an unmarried childless 50 year old. I'm pretty sure the feminist that started this movement in the 1960s has even admitted that she was wrong.
@@fase-man6355target audience is huletunm misema. Plus I don't think they'd be good at conveying their messages as well as they're doing now in just Amharic. Speaking English is not a flex; it is so common, most parts of the world speak it.

The new generation of Ethiopian women or women in general know that they’re not incubators. To have a kid is a choice, just like to NOT have a kid is a choice!
@enlightedmgtow7253 Жыл бұрын
I am a dude and 100 percent agree with your point about deciding not to have kids, albeit our reasoning may differ. You seem to think that people who decide to have kids are somehow missing out on important things - like having a fulfilling career or life goals. Newsflash, that ain't true. Your claim about Wives being a glorified maid is also a bunch of bohoo, at least in contemporary context. You can have a fulfilling career with a great partner and bunch of kids. Thousands of marriages attest to this. That said, some people are just not cut out to be parents. Parenting requires a special kind of commitment where one has to believe that spending time with the kids and retaining that memory is far more worthwhile than chasing a career wagon. If you don't have that trait (like you for e.g.) parenting is not for you. You should resist societal pressures to get married and have kids and put all your focus on your other priorities. If you cave into societal pressures (which is kinda big in Ethiopia) You will end up being a resentful parent who see their kid as a reason of failure and reminisce about the good life they may have had hadn't they decided to get that child. It should all come down to having the options to say Yes/NO and not have society come at you. and knowing the trade-offs and what is at stake.

Well said. I am a mom and professional. I am happier when I spend more time with my kids more than my professional… knowing how challenging it is to be a parent, this women made the right decision by not bringing someone into this world coz I don’t see any passion in her for having a kid. I love kids so much but still it’s is challenging for me coz all my focus is on them and there future I sometimes forget myself. So good for her but if she changes her mind will welcome her

@exodus134 Жыл бұрын
Oh Well.. if this woman is traumatized, don’t you think she deserves justice and a permanent solution for the traumas? Listen to yourself. I dare to say every single woman out there is familiar abuse and neglect in one form or another throughtout her life.This deep rooted, invasive but fixable problem requires collective healing. Collective problems require collective healing to move forward as society. The entire system, the law enforement, the brother, the father , the uncle, the husband but above all, the mother ( oh the Mothers! They can be the biggest breaker or breeders of perpetrators) .. all of these society members need to take deep breath in and reflect on her concerns. Her concerns are real . They are Valid! By listening with a kind, solution-oriented mindset, you will also save yourself from a lot of heart aches. “What now?” Should be where you need to direct you energy here. What can I do in my capacity not to be part of any woman’s suffering? You will be surprised, taking care of the most vulnerable is also the solution we are seeking for a country which is dwelling in a lot of horrors.
Yet another broken person trying to project her trauma onto others. You have the right to choose any lifestyle you want but going on a string of podscasts to spew this toxic message is irresponsible.

First time watching this podcast you guys are amazing; I appreciate the host of this podcast. Especially on the point you tried to tell her that when men say “I have a mom I have as sister” it’s good to work around that. By her mentality and rigidness it’s very hard for her to make a change in the country. Without some common ground and compromise, you can not move forward and make a difference. She talked about positive positive mind but keeps looking at the negative part when men say “yes I have a sister, I have mother” immediately she sees them as a red flag. Please please use that to create more conversation and most importantly to make a CHANGE. I really like the person who is Asking who I assume is this podcast owner.

In this age, where the west is regressing to conservative ways , I find it baffling that our Ethiopian women are abandoning their age old , prideful and respectful culture. Don't you know the so called "woke culture" has left the US shallow, empty, and hollow? And I can say this because I studied in the US and I am currently residing in the West. As for the patriarchy (a system of male-dominance ), you labeled the patrarchy as purely tyrannical. That is not true. You only mentioned the cat callers , the thirsty professors and the taxi- assistants (Redats). How about the fathers and husbands who work unbearable jobs like construction , brick laying and inside different factories , just to put tfood on the table for their family? Why did u not talk about them ? Dont forget it's brave, chivlarious and caring men who invented both the birth control pill and most sanitation devices for women. It is this inventions that emancipated (Liberated) women , not the act of heroic feminists. Thank God your views are in the very low thousands . And your subscribers are 1k or something Dear feminist, When you get older , the role of being a mother and have many living beings who came from your body is far more satisfying than being able to afford a few more LV Bags I tried to keep my diction as simple and benile as possible , so that you beautiful queens can comprehend.

When someone is a feminist out of personal suffering it’s always frustrating. Instead of aspiring to help women to better their lives by fixing the whole structure (how men build the structure of society to benefit themselves), feminists waste their energy on revenge, that includes denying their gender identity. You don’t have to deny your identity or fight men to better life for yourself and all women.
