WELCOME to my 19th flight in 2017. On 29th September, I flew Qantas (QF) from Sydney (SYD) to Hong Kong (HKG). The operating aircraft was an Airbus A330-200. I arrived at the airport from Adelaide by QF740, the flight review for QF740 is available:

I was very lucky to have a spare seat next to me since the flight was quite full, Qantas often reserve a spare seat next to their frequent flyers.
Qantas and Cathay Pacific are the only airlines flying between Sydney and Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific flies four times a day (3x B777-300ER and 1x A330-300) and Qantas flies two days a day (1x A330-300 and 1x B747-400). As the demand on this route is high, Virgin Australia is planning to begin a daily service with their A330-200. Qantas occasionally use A330-200 and A380 on this route.

hi there, yes it really was no different :) even better was that you could recline even during the meal service as no one was sitting behind. Toilet was behind but it was not bothersome as the queue was usually behind it as well. This type of seat does not exist anymore as Qantas has refurbished the A330s but the layout should be the same/similar :) have a good flight!

I'm flying Sydney to Bali next week with Qantas. But I'm just wondering if you have had a problem with seating? For Example, booking a specific seat and then being moved? I've heard that a lot of people have experienced that and don't get to sit next to the person they're travelling with.

Thanks for watching! As long as you have booked a specific seat, there should be no problem at all. Usually people don't get to sit together because they didn't pre-select their seat and when it comes to check in most seats left aren't next to each other :D

Oh no. We're flying this plane on our trip to Japan on 2 weeks and I didn't know it didn't have a power supply :O how will I charge my devices now gah

Yea we were on the new a333 but they downgraded the airbus and now we are on the a332. I had abit of a fight with flight centre today as when they changed our plane to a smaller one our seats actually didnt exist on the smaller plane so we had no seats allocated! Plus they never told me Qantas changed the planes, I was lucky I looked up your video so thank you so much :D now we're coming prepared with lots of PowerBanks and our seats are booked in a row all to ourselves because they were blocked by Qantas originally. Thank you so much for all your help!

Another report that truly impress me!! I did not notice that OneWorld member starts to get B787.... Hopefully you will succeed in getting through 18hour flight. Food looks amazing, I truly cannot believe they even offer Bloody Mary for economy cabin...... Looks like carriers you have taken, are far superior that what I have for now. Why aren't they using the Boeing 787s (currently painted in Jetstar colours) on this route.. A full plane with premium economy and business class must and full economy must make more money than Jetstar makes with its advertised fares. Qantas's cost cutting eg meal served in what looks like a few boxes must be unpopular. Those seat trays are bad enough without boxes all over the place. Qantas still have some of the best aircrew and cabin crew in the business.What is happening to it does not make sense.
