Happy (late) birthday! I love flying with Qantas too. As an Aussie getting on the flying kangaroo heading back home is so awesome. No their service and seats are not the best in the world but in my experiences pretty consistent and very much above average. I did qf1/2 in Premium economy not too long ago on the a380 and that flight was certainly one of best PE products on the planet. Also Qantas is defo expensive but in their many sales its pretty reasonable and (for some reason) cheaper the Virgin Australia on many flights domestically.

@@Plen3716 you always need to shop around for the best fare, but to date I have not had any issues requiring flying with someone else.

Happy birthday mate, we just came back from Japan however had to fly into Narita from Brisbane. Qantas said they were no longer doing the direct flights from Sydney to Haneda. SYD TO BNE TO NARITA Arghhh. Hope you had a super birthday
@ausflyer5 күн бұрын
@@OceanTomkins-f5y Sydney has 2 flight per day between it & Haneda. Day & Night Flight each way. In April I believe the BNE & MEL flights in & out of Narita are being moved to Haneda. One of the Sydney flights will be stopped. No date has been officially set, but all QF operations in Japan will be at Haneda in a few months time.

Happy Birthday. Love your videos. Yep, QANTAS rocks, especially if you are a loyal customer. How busy was Japan? I’ve been reading a lot about the value of the Yen which is resulting is lots of Australians visiting Japan

The last several J class flights with QF in both domestic and international were mediocre to terrible… being a long time premium customer the cost cutting is very easy to see and experience…. i hope they can bring back the excellent product and service of the old QF.

@@spiritedsoul2182 There are areas where western tourists are at numbers never seen before. Especially places like Kyoto. In the big cities there are just so many people you cannot really tell. And the service provided on the flight by the crew was amazing as always. Happy New Year.

why do you think you got upgraded? frequent flyer status or perhaps economy overbooked? i guess a seat/s became available cause of a no show/s
@ausflyer5 күн бұрын
Economy was not full at all. Most likely a combination of status, plus being my Birthday may have contributed. A few days prior the flight was only showing 3 seats available to purchase in Business Class, which I expected would have been allocated to points upgrades. Plus there are Qantas staff at Head Office that may have intervened… lots of guessing, but very much appreciated.

Nothing like getting aboard a qantas aircraft. Although the business product is becoming very dated
@Plen37163 күн бұрын
It definitely seems like it’s dated, it’s not on par with the very best. But it’s comparable to Emirates’ most recent seats, better than Delta’s 767s and is on the whole pretty competitive. Plus I can’t complain that it is consistent across all their a330s, 787s and a380s with only minor differences here and there.

I fly with them every second week throughout SEA. One of the worlds worst airlines

Qantas do not fly to, or from SEA, obviously another airline, maybe AS, DL, AA?

@@ausflyer Qantas fly South East Asia that's what SEA means
@ausflyer3 күн бұрын
@ totally incorrect, if you are going to reply to any aviation video, do not use internationally recognised codes, SEA is Seattle Tacoma International Airport. There is no such abbreviation for Sth East Asia.
