Full Qantas Boeing 787 review !!
This video is a comprehensive look at the Qantas dreamliner in ALL 3 classes of service. I was seated in premium economy however I have filmed in economy and business with great coverage of the entire aircraft, including a visit to the flight deck after landing.
This video will show the new premium economy seat in complete detail as well as the new tableware and premium economy service. Some will love this new seat and others may not be happy with the seat pitch, you can be the judge!
It was a terrific flight with some wonderful crew and thanks so much to them for letting me have a good look around the latest addition to the Qantas fleet.

Thanks David. It confirms that QF needs to add a few more inches to the PE seats. I can't imagine sitting in those for 17 hours to London.

2-4-2 with 18.9' Seat Width and 33' Pitch for Y would be nice. If to LHR, will fly JAL's SS8 or QR's 77L, not QF's 17.1'/31'-32' - no matter how 'brand new' it is.

I recently flew British Airways premium economy from Mumbai to Toronto and I think the seat pitch is slightly better in that one. The cabin on Qantas looks great though and I like the small mobile holder there. What I love about premium economy is that your legs don't brush against your neighbor's. That is such an awesome feeling.

Really worried now about sitting in PE all the way to London. Not from a height point of view but have always like premium economy for room, side lockers and space around my feet. Arthritis makes it difficult to bend my leg ... this could be interesting!! May go back to the old via Singapore. Thanks so much for sharing this.

Beautiful plane and a well done video mate. I, along with others I'm sure, were hoping that QF would have opted for a 2-4-2 economy like JAL, but maybe they could introduce it down the road. If I recall correctly, ANZ received many complaints regarding their pitch in the PE "space seat" and decided to remove a row to better accommodate passengers. I've flown QF's A380 in the past and have some flights coming up over the Pacific and decided to stick with it after all the comments I've seen about 9 abreast 787's.

J. M. Thanks for your comments. Agree that where you can, people should choose the A380 if you are in economy class. For business the 787 is better at the moment.

Flew an Etihad Dreamliner from AUH to PER last year. Their economy seems to be the same configuration - 3/3/3 and way too tight.

GREAT video of Quantas Premium Economy. It would seem the only way to avoid your legs being smushed into the back of the seat in front of you is to sit in the PE bulkhead row, which is most likely what I would shoot for. I would fly Quantas home from Melbourne to San Francisco on the 787 in early October if I do an NZ/AUS vacation. Which is a 14 hour flight, so iFlyTheWorld, I know EXACTLY what you mean!

They do, they run the 787-9 Dreamliner on their MEL-SFO flights and the 747 still on the SYD-SFO flights. Look it up online.

I guess the 787 are the one who's replacing the 747's. My wife and I flew from New York to Australia twice and it was a 747. Now we're planning another trip to down under and this time I noticed it was a 787 Dreamliner.

This is a shame. As a pommy living in Melbourne I loved the A380 service either through Dubai or originally Singapore. This plane and direct flight from Perth has me lost. So small and cramped. Qantas has lost my FF miles and will certainly look elsewhere from now on. Spot on review though, nice work

Mark Smith thanks Mark! But you don't need to worry you can still fly the A380 with Qantas from London to both Sydney and Melbourne via Singapore . Both options will be available

QF1/2 will be SYD-SIN-LHR and return with A380, you can get an A380 or A330 from MEL to connect in SIN with that service. That's how it will work. I think it's good to have both options

Beagle76 please re read what I said. The a380 is moving to Mel sin. There you can connect to the Syd sin LHR a380

Good God! Did the man in the background ever quit talking for even a second? One negative (for me) is that the crew can and often does control the dimming of the window, so I prefer the window shades. If given a choice, I’ll stick with the A380 LAX/SYD and it’s dedicated First Class product. 😉
