قسما بالله رب العالمين we swear by Allah, the lord of the worlds ما ارتضينا غير دين الله دين we would not accept any way of life except the way of Allah فهو دين الحق دين الأنبياء because it is the way of truth and the way of the prophets إنه الإسلام نور وضياء it is indeed Islam, a (source of) light and illumination هذا الدر وهذي الكلم these gems (beautiful praises) and these words بمديح الهادي تنتظم for praising our guide (Muhammad PBUH) were sewn together in a piece of jewelry (poem) ضاءت بالمختار الظلم the darknesses were illuminated by the chosen one وحلا في مولده النغم and the melodies are sweetest in (the occasion of) his birthday قسما بالله رب العالمين we swear by Allah, the lord of the worlds ما ارتضينا غير دين الله دين we would not accept any way of life except the way of Allah فهو دين الحق دين الأنبياء because it is the way of truth and the way of the prophets إنه الإسلام نور وضياء it is indeed Islam, the (source of) light and illumination من مكة ضاء الكون هدى from Makkah the universe got illuminated by guidence والسهل تزين والأكم and the coast and hills were beautified وتمايلت الدنيا طربا and the world danced with pleasure وغدت بالمولد تبتسم and it (the world) started smiling with the birth قسما بالله رب العالمين we swear by Allah, the lord of the worlds ما ارتضينا غير دين الله دين we would not accept any way of life except the way of Allah فهو دين الحق دين الأنبياء because it is the way of truth and the way of the prophets إنه الإسلام نور وضياء it is indeed Islam, the (source of) light and illumination ومشت بالأرض عدالته and his (sense of) justice spread over the earth والعرب تآخت والعجم and the Arabs and non-Arabs became brothers قد ألف بين قلوبهم he indeed joined (with love) between their hearts وبحبل الله قد اعتصموا and by the rope of Allah, they held steadfastly إنه الإسلام نور وضياء it is indeed Islam, a (source of) light and illumination وأساس الدين توحيد الإله and the essence of the deen is the oneness of God فهو الرحمن لا رب سواه as he is the most merciful and there is no lord but Him جل ربي عن شبيه أو زمان exalted is my lord from having a resemblance or time (age) ليس روحا ليس جسما في مكان He is not a spirit and not confined to a body or place هذا الدر وهذي الكلم these gems (beautiful praises) and these words بمديح الهادي تنتظم for praising our guide (Muhammad PBUH) were sewn together in a piece of jewelry (poem) ضاءت بالمختار الظلم the darknesses were illuminated by the chosen one وحلا في مولده النغم and the melodies are sweetest in (the occasion of) his birthday
