And that surprised me, because all the other Fall material that I'd listened to in the past - *Live At The Witch Trials" , *Hex Enduction Hour* , *Extricate* , *The Light User Syndrome* , seemingly dozens of other albums - have all sounded, to me, like the *opposite* of folk-rock. And that's why I like them. I like "Janet vs. Jane and Johnny", too, don't get me wrong, it's just...what's that warm and strummy guitar doing there? By the way, do you have a favorite Fall song? Or a favorite album of theirs?

I have not listened to The Fall for many years, listening to new bands. But my favorite album is for sure "Code: Selfish" (and "Bend Sinister" and "I Am Kurious Oranj" too)...

Really? I've followed them since 1978, saw them at Nottingham's Sandpiper and heard them on John Peel if they did a session with almost religious devotion and I used to try and dictate other peoples musical taste for them, I even thought I was doing them a good turn, to be fair though, turning Fall virgins' on to their style of music IS a good deed but I'm afraid you go too far, implying that not liking this number somehow diminishes my love of their music in general. I happen not to like it at the moment but it may grow on me in the future as many other, tracks have over the years. I no longer pass judgement on what makes someone a Fall fan although I cheerfully slag off their opinion if it happens to disagree with my own! All done in the best possible taste and no malice intended.
