Este partido era totalmente ganable. Los amistosos contra Nueva Zelanda de poco le sirvieron a Chile, tenían que medirse con una selección que les exigiera más y diera más oposición, es difícil mejorar así. Siendo sincero creo que este es el límite de Chile, las condiciones del deporte en Chile no da para aspirar a más.

@@avh8200 Yo espero lo mismo, pero creo que Chile necesita desarrollo en políticas deportivas para llegar a ganarle a Qatar u otras selecciones emergentes de ese nivel. Si no me equivoco Chile hace poco perdió con Perú en Sub20. O sea que el camino para reforzar esta selección se ve complejo, pero eso digo que este es el límite para Chile.

​@@avh8200 JAJAJA, pero esos partidos hay que ganarlos, es como si Chile en el fútbol estuviera a 4 partidos de ser campeones del mundo, es sólo una suposición, no la realidad. Sólo le ganaron a Túnez, un rival menor, perdieron contra Qatar y Ucrania, que no son potencias de este deporte. No digo que sea un mal equipo, pero creo que este es el límite de ellos, lamentablemente.

Usualmente soy bastante crítico con Chile, porque siempre hemos tenido una narrativa deportiva pobre y si destacamos, nos come una ansiedad enorme al no saber lidiar con el éxito. Ahora, en lo que respecta al partido, el resultado es negativo pero se pueden extraer muchas cosas positivas. La resistencia y el sentido de colaboración del equipo pudieron verse, pero faltan pequeñas (haciendo gala de los chilenismos) cositas que marcan la diferencia. Depende de ellos, de la Federación y de nosotros como país el seguir con estos "triunfitos" o de dar el salto y consolidarse en el cénit. En definitiva, hay tres elementos que se pueden extraer acá: 1) Mejora técnica 2) Mentalidad individual y grupal 3) Despojamiento de la narrativa tóxica - en todo sentido - del triunfalismo fútil y del victimismo constante del periodismo nacional y de la sociedad chilena. El último punto no es baladí, es algo tan sociológico de nosotros que se ha tornado en una esencia, pero hagamos de ello una naturaleza que mude de una mísera vez el discurso, porque los fracasos son inevitables y no se pueden esquivar, mas enfocarse en los objetivos y tener seguridad en ellos nos hará alcanzar la cima.

@@avh8200 Tu frase avala lo que digo: cuál es la vara con la que se mide? La realidad latinoamericana es pobre en cuanto a éxitos mundiales y en todo sentido. Veamos cuál es el cénit del deporte mundial y la manera más fácil de hacer soft power: los Juegos Olímpicos. Desde mi parecer, desde los años 50 que no tenemos una medalla como corresponde: lo de Seúl fue coyuntura propia, porque el tiro depende muchos factores; el fútbol es una disciplina muy extraña en los Juegos Olímpicos (y vemos que esa generación pasó sin pena ni gloria) y el tenis - me enfocaré en la figura de Massú - es la APOLOGÍA del constructo nacional: lograr algo anhelado como si fuese un cantar de gesta. A nivel Panamericano, antes de Rio 2007 que para mí marcó un antes y un después, era de un nivel paupérrimo digno de nuestros vecinos del norte. A nivel de Juegos Olímpicos, mejor no agregar nada. A niveles de deportes colectivos - sin contar el Mundial del 62, el Mundial de Hockey Patín del 2006 y las medallas de los años 50 del básquetbol - han sido HORROROSOS. La narrativa periodística acuñó el epíteto de "Generación Dorada" a la selección que ganó la Copa América, pero cuya cima fueron unos octavos de final en un mundial y que después - teniendo TODOS LOS RECURSOS DISPONIBLES - quedan desclasificados, pero eso es harina de otro costal. En síntesis, el escenario deportivo nacional siempre ha sido dantesco. Espero que cambie, pero he pecado de inocencia durante mucho tiempo. No obstante, sigo esperando y espero que así sea.
