Whoever designed the lounge access scheme for business ticket holders is stupid. You are not always entitled to access a business lounge if you are a business traveler!! I just couldn’t get it. Why can’t they just be like Emirates?

Yes, but only after paying for lounge access for up to 6 hours, 124$ or 450 QAR.

May I ask how you get to travel frequently? I'm a student so I don't have a job yet, but would like one later in life involving work trips

Well, I must admit that is largely because of a good job. However, my family and I maximize the collection of our mileage from airlines that we fly with frequently so that it is easier to book award flights in economy and even business on short/medium haul. Whenever we fly, we aim to keep in the network that the airline is in so we can earn miles by flying partner airlines. For example, we want to focus on Qatar Airways avios and so we fly them and airlines such as British Airways and, regionally, American Airlines. I highly recommend that when you focus on an airline to build a membership status with, is one that gives you a good value for miles that you earn, like Qatar. I appreciate you asking ;)

@@aerofilming thank you! My dad does something similar but doesn't get to travel too often so I was wondering how I could travel when I'm older. We fly with British airways primarily, but when he goes on work trips he tries to fly with Qatar airways to get more tier points, often earning double than with BA. But he prefers flying BA for collecting avios
