Qatar alone shouldn’t have hosted this WC by itself… it should’ve been at least called Arabia 2022, like United 2026. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and United Arab Emirates should’ve been the group of Arabia 2022. Qatar isn’t suitable for housing many visitors, in fact, the hotel projects are at their maximum level to house that many people. In my opinion Qatar will be the worst country to ever host the WC for the following reasons: The country is too small to host the tournament as it no bigger than London. It has a population of less than 3 million people making it the least populated country to ever host the tournament. The country will be too densely populated during the finals as thousands are expected to arrive to the country. The country is infamous for it’s slavery and how many innocent people died building the stadiums. The country being a Muslim nation forbids homosexuals and drinking. And more infamously the country should had been stripped as hosts once it was found out they bribed illegally.

12 years on and to this day, I still cannot understand how this tournament is still allowed to go ahead. The corruption behind Qatar being allowed to host the World Cup in the first place is insane for so many reasons. It’s too hot to host in the summer (which they should have thought about before being nominated as a host nation) so let’s just disrupt football seasons all over the world, overcharge the fans wanting to go and see their nation play and win when some of these nations can’t afford to pay for food, heat, electricity and fuel in their own territory, arrest gays because homosexuality is looked down on as if it’s still the 19th century, treat women like second class citizens like sexism is still acceptable in today’s world, ban alcohol from stadiums so fans can’t have fun whilst watching and worst of all pay the workers who build the ground fuck all wages or in many cases nothing whilst leaving them to die of heat exhaustion during or after building the grounds which won’t even get used once this is all over. Blatter got arrested for corruption and fraud as we all know but FIFA is STILL happy for the tournament to take place. There were a number of missed opportunities to strip Qatar off being able to host it whilst giving it to a proper footballing country like England, Spain, Portugal or even Denmark. But no, instead FIFA chose to be greedy and choose money over fans and let this disgraceful nation host the biggest football tournament in the world. DISGRACE 😡

However, I don't understand why Qatar, the host country, has such poor results. Even if it's the Netherlands, shouldn't it still have to win at least one team from Senegal or Ecuador? South Korea beat Portugal and drew with Uruguay, Japan beat Germany and Spain, Australia beat Tunisia and Denmark, and Saudi Arabia beat Argentina despite being knocked out in the group stage. It should be shameful that Qatar alone scored only one goal and lost all three matches.
