Doesn't the ER12p have built-in POE, or does it require an injector like this X?

Great . I wish you would update this to show how to connect an Unifi AP NanoHD which uses 802.3af ~ 48v Poe Injector. In this case the Eth4 would be connected to the lan port on the NanoHD Poe Injector and it would be plugged directly into the power outlet.

Ben, I do not see the links to your notes. I am currently working to restore a system that was preconfigured but the admin with passwords is not longer with us. When, I follow the directions I lose access to the router by ip. When I use the switch option I can see the UAP and Router at but not on a 192. but a 10. The UAP's show up with options. What is the step I am missing in the config that prevents me from using this options? 1 WAN+ 2LAN 2,,, I believe the comcast modem is bridged

I have a question on port forwarding and firewall rules for edge router X. I am not using port forwarding wizard. Just configuring this through Firewall/NAT GUI To allow only one external IP to access 22 SSH port. But this is not working how it should be. I have configured like this, Port forwarding rule: 44444 ----> 172.16.10.4 ----> 22 Firewall rule: WAN_IN and WAN_LOCAL Accept, TCP, Established:New: Related, Gave one Source PUBLIC IP (no port defined here), destination IP and port as 172.16.10.4:22. Now the error I am getting is, instead of one public IP (source IP), all the IPs are able to access port 22. As it is just listening to port forwarding rule but not the firewall rules because every IP can reach 22. What and where I need to make the changes so that it will just allow only one public source IP to access the 22 port. Thank you

I need help! I got the edge router x and and the unifi ac lite. And got it all connected when I first connect to it via wifi I get issued a 10. Ip and not the 196. Ip that is being used by the edge router. I have to disconnect and reconnect a few times and then I finally get the right up address and can reach the internet. What am I missing. Anyone please

Just want to warn you guys that if the cable between POE injector and ER-X is long. You may end up to crazy rebooting UAP-AC-LITE. You can either change the power injector to a 24V 24W giga unit. or connect the original POE injector between ER-X & AC-LITE.

Can I configure this exactly the way you do could in 1 location and bring the whole setup (PoE, EdgeRouter X and WAP) to a second location and plug it in and not have to do the config again or will i need to make changes? The ISPs at the 2 locations will be the same.

If you're taking up eth0 and eth4 with the UAP then you have no WAN port to use? Where does the blue cable go? i have edgerouter x only doing lan to wan connection and an edgeswitch 8-150 for the devices, using the 24v passive setting on a UAP port. Thanks for the video, it helped me fix my setup so the UAP now runs 1gb for the wired uplink..without injector.
