No, that's not true. Each item has it's own roll. You craft and you get a percentage within that range. You can recraft and it will go up. Having more items in the set do not determine the range for each item.

@@QCRunnerGames Then why is the range different for the same set item crafted for different items? And why do they show you the range on the upper right side? That makes no sense. Or just to remind you that you messed up?

That is the possible range of your new gear. You have a chance to get something between 50-100 (for example). It adds a random factor so everyone doesn't get the same thing. If you craft a 75, when you recraft, you are guaranteed to be greater than 75 the next time.
