@@jesperdevries936 only Heady, prime Heady to be specific, for songs like Scrap Attack, Rock Civilization, World of Madness, Power of the Mind and many others are the reason why he's considered by most of the people as the greatest hardstyle producer ever. Sub Zero Project still have a long way to go, that's why they are considered the future of the scene, alongside guys like D-Sturb or Sefa (in the case of frenchcore) D-Block & S-te-Fan dominated 2019 and it seems to be the same in 2020

You don't really use arguments szp and hhz have that special touch in their tracks/live edits with much variation and dbstf always has the same anti climax at the start and the climax at the end Sefa is on another level with his French core but bc its another genre not really comparable however he is the first frenchcore producer who closed the red at defqon 1 The amount of remixes live edits and bangers he produce is huge

And that's just a quick example with two different kind of tracks, one terror based and dark vibe, the other a banger for festivals Your talk is very subjective, but doesn't change that D-Block & S-te-Fan are dominating hardstyle scene these last two years, and dominated along Heady, Wildstylez, Noisecontrollers a decade ago, i wonder where were Sub Zero Project that time... see? They still have a long way to go

Imo hardstyle right now is either a good banger that you could listen all day long and whistle In your head while not listening or some hard bass music that you get headaches from and forget immediately about it after listening. This top40 is 90% of the second.

hmm... I made 1-2 Years break of Hardstyle. Then I see Top 40, I say ok look in. After I heard the 40 Songs I can´t believe. Only 1 good Track of 40? Am I to Old? Are my Ears broke? Generationchange? Where are the hard but Clean Sounds? Where are the Sound you thing you are in a Big Big Hall? Where are the Sound Only Songs? Near all Songs have a singing Part? Where are the Storytellersongs? There call it Rawstyle .. but its only Play Bing Bong Sounds. There call it NuStyle .. finally its Dance. Hardcore is Death at Q-Dance and now Happy-Frenchcore ... Dance with more Speed is the Favorite. I belive I am Old. 20 Years of Hardstyle and now? I´m so alone ;)

EDM is the most versatile and fastest changing genre i've ever encountered, so you asking if you're too old...nope, generationchange? yeah kind of, there is change for sure. always. it changes faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast and nowadays you realy have to pick out your favourites yourself. Vocals came in heavily for sure, its still better than MC's talking into songs though. The stories are told, we need to write new books now :)
