Commentary was so one sided and most times in favour of TTY which was sad, they should comment on the game and not take side and predict games and personalise, disappointed with the commentary, thrilled by the match and I am a fan of TTY and RI and both lost in this, well played PVS and the bark in this game was the roar for the final. Tai always fool around when she has a lead. This has happened many times in previous competitions. She should has closed the game on set 2 if not rubber set she should just make it impossible for Sindhu to catch up. End up she start to pressure at last point and start to smash out. Start her attack way too late. It’s a pity for her. With akane out. She is mark to take the title.

Are we witnessing the inevitable decline of TTY? This is very similar to that of Nicole David (squash), after dominating the sport for a long time, father time has finally stepped in to allow other players to pass. TTY will still be competitive but the invincibility is gone. Sad to see a champion with such humility go, but that is sport.

@N D Yours is one school of thought. Another is head to head competition between the athletes. What made TTY a legend in my books are her creative game and, more importantly, how she carries herself. Her game, at its peak, has been validated as the best ever in female badminton by experts and players alike. But the part that is really impressive is how she exhibits class and respect, win or lose. TTY passed on the 2017 World Championship because she wanted to represent Taiwan in her University games, thus missing a great opportunity. However, this decision although unwise in hindsight, will be forever remembered by all the Taiwanese. Note: unless you are a Taiwanese, you probably will not understand the significance of it.
