Hi there. At the time of the video, this was only working for iOS. I have an android tablet that I need to use another method for. Note that they have had at least one major version since then, so if you have an mbtiles file then it might be worth a try.

Hey I just was curious about if you have done this and it doesn’t display? I have tried everything exactly how you show it. But using the MBTiles it always doesn’t display. When I exported as a geopackage then it displayed part of it. But still not what I need. Have you run into this issue recently? I’m on qgis 3.28 on iOS.

Hi Tyler, I haven't had any issues with this on iOS (I'm using the same version of QGIS currently). Assuming your MBTiles layer is working in your QGIS document, I'm wondering if it could be an issue with the download process? You might try doing what's mentioned in the Tutorial 1 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4raYaODa8eZrdE) comments section in the discussion we have with Henkadj. He zips up the project (including mbtiles) and imports via dropbox as an alternative workflow. I'll be posting a tutorial using this method in the coming weeks. If you try it and it works for you, please circle back and let me know!

Alright so I was able to use the Dropbox method to import my project but still the same thing. The mbtiles never show but the geopackage only shows part of the base map. Guess I will be out there without a base map…not a dealbreaker but just an annoyance.

@@tylertinman3409 Sorry to hear that. Stupid question but... the mbtiles file is in the project directory, right? If it lives anywhere else on your computer, it won't transfer when using the QField plugin. Just trying to cover all the bases in an effort to get you in the field with a basemap, cause I know how much they help :)

@@tylertinman3409 Also, it would be worthwhile to make sure your mbtiles file is in all directories associated with your project. When you use the qfieldcloud plugin, by default it syncs to a folder for me located here: C:\Users\*your name*\QField\cloud\*your project directory* (I'm on Windows). This is the file that actually syncs to the cloud. Check this location to make sure the mbtiles file exists there, too.
