9:55 This might sound weird, but my dad is a captain for Skywest airlines e-175 and he flies for Delta, United and Alaska, and I swear that is him. That’s actually crazy!!

That is cool however this is a compass flight. You can tell by the winglets. Skywest is the only regional airline that has the new wingtips on delta connection 175 aircraft. Also in the video description it says what the airline is and the tail number is.

Did you catch Half Dome around the 10:00 mark? I think so... Seems most flights smf SoCal fly along the Sierras and you get great views of Yosemite on the left side. 👍

SMF is one of the nicest midsize airports in the United States. Certainly is better than having to put up with the SF area airports! Enjoy your videos!

Only mainline jet AA flies between LAX and SMF is an A319 seasonally. Everything else is Compass

I have flown both these and the SkyWest variant. I feel like SkyWest has a slightly newer, cleaner fleet, but you can tell it is the same plane. The only difference I could find in economy is the SkyWest have an extra half row in the back, and the reading lights in the SkyWest are LEDs. The wing tips (called winglets ) on the SkyWest plane were also longer.

Are you aware that compass airlines went out of business? As of April 5 2020, all the flights that were on compass e175s are now on the same model plane, but SkyWest!
