Thanks for this video. I don't have spatial analyst for ArcMap, but was able to convert my elevation data from meters to feet using your video. I spent a lot of time trying work-arounds in Excel before I found this.

Why does the * multiply hinds by 21 in the example at 5:00 but set it equal to 1 at 6:52?

So in the second example at 6:52 I used the + for concatenation of two expressions. The concatenation basically says we are doing a comparison which is what's inside the Parentheses, then classifying them by using *. If it was not for the + it would simply multiply. Hey are you referring to an expression built within raster calculator if so you just use (^) symbol. For example 6^3 would be 6 to the 3rd power. The symbol is right above the number 6 on keyboard.
