Hi, this video is very helpful. I have a problem, it is related to the distances query nearest I have 2 point layers A and B, layer A has fields ID & CODE ROAD, I want to find layer A' s points there are distances nearest with B layer 's points, and satisfies the condition there are CODE ROAD mentioned (that is, these points must be distance nearest with layer B 's points, and must be on road k) I hope to receive your idea, thanks many

how do you know what the distance is measured in? I put in coordinated using WGS 84 projection and UTF-8 encoding. will the distance matrix output in meters? degrees?

By default in should be in metres - something that you can configure. I am doing another video about changing units....out soon :)

Hi Elizabeth - do you mean 2 layers, one for the road and the other the points and then measure the distance from the road to each of the points?

@@GISCoordinated, thanks for the reply. There are two layers (points and line (street) but I would like to calculate the distance between the points. The points were recorded by other people. Initially some of the points were off street so I used 'snap to line' tool to move them on the street. Now I would like to measure the distance between one point to the one next to it, on each street. I was wondering if there is a tool that would allow to calculate the distance automatically.
