Corrections from Speed Saint! 1:13 "I take a lot of *EARLY* apexes" (Low hp car = maximize minimum corner speed = minimize maximum steering angle) 2:01 "Because this next corner is less tight than the *PREVIOUS* corner, so you can stay flat." 3:02 I engage ABS. Woops! This car's ABS isn't good enough to be worth engaging. Notice the low refresh rate of the choppy tire sound. 2:34 "Now we'll be braking into a *RIGHT* hander, into a *LEFT* hander" Feel free to leave critiques! I'd love to hear your thoughts. FYI, I don't have access to my yt account, and will be creating a new one shortly.

Can you do like touge academy? Teach things like when to rev match downshift instead of heel toe and how to trail brake or warm up tires on the street?
@RidgeChaser4 жыл бұрын
That's coming up soon! The structure of the video will be for viewers who already know the racing concepts. It'll show how to apply them in touge, as you mentioned

You guys should try Highway 49 from Mariposa to Coulterville... Nothing but 30 or so miles of extreme cliffsides and tight hairpins to get the blood pumping!

damn that's a gnarly run for a non-local in a civic. but then again, it is speedsaint so gnarly runs appear to be the standard for him.

I actually was able to drive this road not too long ago while passing thru on a roadtrip, granted in a rental. Camera makes the bumps and dips look waay to casual

For super noob beginners, maybe do a togue lingo explanation vid. For example the term "lift" might be confusing for some.

Nice run mr saint! I was just conflicted when u said u were trying to late apex but have the fastest minimum speed
@charlesjohnson1784 жыл бұрын
I don't think he meant late apex. I think he meant earlier apex, late exit (exiting wide), even though setting up for the next corner from the "wrong" side, it doesn't matter since you can still take the next corner flat. At least that's how he drove it.

Love your videos! Do you guys take any special precautionary measures in the case of an oncoming driver?
@RidgeChaser4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Some corners can be taken using the full width due to good light visibility. Some cannot be assumed to taken full. For those corners, drivers will change their line to a later apex, aiming to exit in the right lane. Once the blind spot is passed (usually a hill) and visibility is confirmed, the driver can open throttle and change their line. For super tryhard runs, scouters are used.

Where are some good touge roads on the east coast? Trying to get into touge, and there are no good roads close to my house (northeast Alabama)
@kippah50464 жыл бұрын
some roads you can run single lane without much issue but mexico road here is especially technical. doing a single lane run is actually considered more dangerous because it demands substantially more from the tires. ask me how i know lmao.

Dude I own the same car, you need new tires you’re going wayyy too slow, try hitting that at about 55-65, you’ll get more comfortable. I can probably do that road at 90 😂😂
