中国东方卫视歌唱比赛节目《声动亚洲》今晚举行亚洲区总决赛，大马歌手Shila Amzah打败亚洲各国新星勇夺冠军，为国争光!
A Malaysian singer, Shila Amzah has been announced as the winner of Asian Wave 2012 that held in China.. She's competed with other finalists from China, South Korea, India, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia itself.. She sang three songs: Gemilang by Jaclyn Victor, Grenade by Bruno Mars and a Mandarin song, Zheng Fu by Na Ying that finally led her to be awarded as the Grand Winner of the event.. The winner was selected based on the juries' points as well as the votes from the fans.. Shila also has been the favourite among fans who love her voice and style.. What makes this performance even meaningful was she received standing ovations from the juries and audiences that majority of them are Chinese!! Malaysia Boleh!

Shila 喜泣 荣登亚洲至尊之星宝座
大马之光Shila凭着中文歌曲《征服》荣登《声动亚洲》之亚洲至尊最高荣誉。
这一场汇聚了亚洲声音好手的比赛，于2012年9月20日晚上8点半在东方卫视直播室进行长达4小时的大直播。我国歌手马来西亚的小天后SHILA和16岁的刘婉滢双双进入十进六对垒。
刘婉滢对垒郭一帆之战,可谓惊险万分,两人皆具备好声音,让评审难以抉择,其中谭咏麟、李克勤、黄舒骏、巫启贤皆透给了刘婉滢,在一连2次的同分,在4比4之时,全场焦点都在李珉宇手上的这一票,而他最后决定投给了刘婉滢.
Shila与泰国的巨肺Tem的对决一样让人听出耳油,高晓松直言她们的演唱的感觉,不是来证明自己,而是一种分享.虽然票数以5比0胜出,可是Ten的演唱还是让评审觉得感动.
进入六强的歌手包括了:SHILA、刘婉滢、常石磊、霍尊、WHEE、孙伯纶，以及获得评审特别推荐翻身的郭一凡，最后的实力对决，角逐新一代亚洲潜力新星。
而刘婉滢在对垒常石磊时,巫启贤表示刘婉滢选错了歌曲，以5比0输给了常石磊，黯然离开舞台。
紧接Shila迎战翻身的郭一帆，两度皆与大马对垒的他,虽然现场人气高昂，最终不敌Shila精彩的演出，更让评审起身为她喝彩！
进入3强的她,无惧中国好手常石磊，孙伯纶，以中文歌曲〈征服〉对决,她一口字正腔圆的中文,及优美的音色,完全征服了评审与现场观众,赢得全场如雷掌声,成功登上《声动亚洲》之亚洲至尊最高荣誉.

I bet the singer Ms Na Ying will definitely dropped her tears if she listened this, especially no body would expected how she could end this song (the last 30secs) by using undisputely one of the best voice, allow me to said this since even the Great King Of Pop at Hong Kong at 80's, Mr Alan Tam ( the jury), was dazed by her, which meant it was far more powerful than what we thought. Proud of her, Proud to be Malaysian, thank you so much!

I just watch Shila on our national TV today 12/4/2020, so I decided to look up here.. answering your question, music goes beyond race and racism. If a singer is good.. at the same time fluent in the language, why not for sure. We have quite a number of non Malay singer when they sang they just sound like a Malay as much as Shila can render in Mandarin. Let's not be racist.
