Thank you thank you thank you, I have been quoting these verses to family members and friends for years whenever they would scuffle and argue about qibla, and it never sunk in with them., and it still does not, because they follow fatwas instead if taqwa. These verses and so many other verses are so straightforward and yet they persist in following their man made fatwas and directives. Its mind boggling.

"Zalikal Qitaab" does mean "That Book", not "This Book". A book is being given to people who are reading, understanding and learning from it. Those are Muttaqeen. Those having the discipline to read, study, understand and live to the guidance in "That Book".

According to history, Ali ibn Abu Talib was assasinated during Fajar prayer, while he was prostrating. Ali was one of sahaba, cousin of the prophet, & husband of Fatimah, daughter of the prophet. So ihe was doing ritual prayer.

Another thing I want to add in my comment is about direction in praying, cause I still believe in ritual salat, esp in ablution. Instruction is clear. I would be confuse if water has another meaning or tayammum or hair or head be having different meaning. As if the clear words being twisted differently. Now if there is no direction in praying, how would the people look like, if they are facing different directions, same as in burial of the dead. How would the grave look like if they are facing different directioms. I am only using reason & logic.

Good Salah... though not 100% but close enough. To understand the "zakah" try understanding verses of the Quran that says something like these: 61:2 O believers! Why do you say what you do not do? 61:3 How despicable it is in the sight of Allah that you say what you do not do! Now, how do you _"keep WORDS pure?"_ When you recite the Quran to the people... how do you keep the WORDS pure? In other words, if you simply regurgitate the Quran verbatim without practicing what you are preaching. Are you keeping the WORDS *pure?* _peace to the world._

Astaghfirullahal ajeem, I am only human, but Allah has full knowledge of everything. He created & commanded everything wd His perfect knowledge. My idea is not to go beyond God's command. If only Allah allowed the prophet to explain/interpret the Qur-an, I think Islam would not have been devided. Cause the prophet has been given by Allah the full understanding of the Qur-an. For instance the calendar, the prophet should have explained that the beginning of the month should be Rabiul Awal not muharram & he must put it into writing, each of us has different understanding of the Qur-an. But this doesnt mean that I am belying the Qur-an.
