I found out about this holiday from my Chinese coworkers! Of all our US holidays, it sounds most similar to Memorial Day in the US (which usually falls on a Monday in May), except with more ancient roots (which is super cool!). Where I live in the northeastern US, some people spend Memorial Day by bringing flowers to the graves of deceased loved ones, or use the long weekend to spend time with living loved ones and celebrate the warmer weather and arrival of summer by traveling or having a cookout (people gather to make and enjoy grilled food outdoors). It's often a time when outdoor pools, and businesses around beach destinations on the northeast coast open and/or prepare for the summer season visitors.

Thank you for your cool video, I like the animations very much. But in my opinion, we shouldn't use ''celebrate'' for these kinds of festivals which are for remembering our ancestors and historical figures, still such as Chongyang Festival and Duanwu Festival. As Chinese we don't say "Happy Qingming Festival" to others, because this festival is for nostalgia to our ancestors, instead of for the persons who are still alive. So I would like to use "spend(度过)" Qingming Festival here.

Hi there, how your all well. My family’s Chinese, I’m aware of what the Qingrong festival is. Just for a second I advise you guys, think. Don’t just copy what your forefathers did and so assume it’s the truth, think for yourself. There’s only one creator. One God worthy of worship without any partners. I came across Islam a couple months ago and it is the truth, just look into it and see what you think about it.
