The ingredients
Steam rice cake :
Rice flour : 16 oz
Tapioca starch : 1 cup
Glutinous flour : 1 tablespoon
Salt : 1 teaspoon
Warm water : 7 cups
Shallot oil :
Olive oil : 1 cup
Shallot : 1 big shallot
Sweet and sour fish sauce ( this recipe is base on our family’s taste, can be adjusted to yours ) :
Sugar : 1/4 cup
Water : 1.5 cups
Fish sauce : 1/2 cup
Fresh chilies and garlic ( mince or smash as you prefer)
Lime juice : 2/3 lime
Green onion for topping : 1 bundle
